After reviewing applications, the [[Strategy/Wikimedia movement/2018-20/People/Strategy core team|Core Team]] will create a shortlist of up to 20 people per group. The Core Team will present the applications and this shortlist to a [[Strategy/Wikimedia movement/2018-20/Working Groups/Steering Committee|Steering Committee]], assembled from members of the broader community who were involved in [[Strategy/Wikimedia movement/2017|Phase I]] of the Strategy Process.

The Steering Committee will then select up to 15 people per group from the shortlist. The selection process will be based [[Strategy/Wikimedia movement/2018-20/Working Groups#Working Group members|on a range of criteria]] ensuring diversity, representation and expertise of Working Group members. The Core Team will announce the selected members to the broader movement. The Core Team intends to find ways for those who applied but were not assigned to a working group, to participate in the broader process.
