Hello, I came by via Grants pages, where the Module:Training Pages is of interest to applicants from Japan/East Asia. Are we to offer the profile of the team in multiple languages? Please count me in if there be any plan, would love to make the gap smaller with you and *under-represented* communities including ja. :[[User:Omotecho|Omotecho]]: that module was part of an older version of training modules on English Wikipedia (which could be copied over to other languages and translated). However, we don't use or maintain that training system anymore. Currently, our training system is the one that is integrated into the two dashboards: [https://dashboard.wikiedu.org/training Wiki Education Dashboard] and [https://outreachdashboard.wmflabs.org/training Programs & Events Dashboard]. The second one has training modules that can be translated, if you think they would be useful for the ja.wikipedia community. The way to do that is to visit a training slide ([https://outreachdashboard.wmflabs.org/training/editing-wikipedia/wikipedia-essentials/policies-and-guidelines-basic-overview like this one]), follow the 'wiki source' link at the bottom (which goes to a page [https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Training_modules/dashboard/slides/10301-policies-and-guidelines-basic-overview like this]), translate the page using Meta's translation system, then go to the index page for that training module ([https://outreachdashboard.wmflabs.org/training/editing-wikipedia/wikipedia-essentials like this]) and click 'reload from source' at the bottom. I wish if you could think of three dashboards with higher demand sought by Grants applicants, towards the reporting phase? Our community would need at least one more dashboard IMHO, aside from the one to guard safety for events onwiki/offwiki. It was very meaning for me to work on the one for safety, as it led me to join the discussion for Universal Code of Conduct locally.

Hey Community,


I am excited to introduce to you a project aimed at empowering and educating Nigerian students aged 9 to 17 about higher institute courses and career pathways. Our initiative seeks to bridge knowledge gaps among young learners by providing them with valuable insights into various academic disciplines and the diverse notable persons in Nigeria from such disciplines available.


Hi all, as a rep with Wiki Ed I wanted to propose some changes to this page. It seems like that's a good method for moving forward? [[User:Jbmurray|Jbmurray]], your take is particularly welcome. Let's sort out how to best manage this page to keep it up to date.


Through a series of engaging workshops, interactive sessions, and guest speaker events, we aim to inspire curiosity, foster exploration, and ignite passion in our youth participants. By collaborating with local schools, and community centers, we strive to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every child has the opportunity to discover their interests and aspirations.
First, the Wiki Education Foundation [https://wikiedu.org/blog/2014/12/18/changes-to-classroom-program-for-spring-2015/ doesn't accredit or support ambassadors] anymore. So I'd like to remove the information on [[Wiki_Education_Foundation#Volunteers|volunteers]], which seems to indicate a connection to us (beyond historical context).


Secondly, the [[Wiki_Education_Foundation#Board|board slots]] concept isn't applicable to Wiki Ed anymore; that's a historical proposal that's out-of-date.


Our project is rooted in the belief that every child deserves access to quality education and information that will empower them to make informed decisions about their academic and career paths. We are committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring that all children, regardless of background or circumstance, have the opportunity to realize their full potential.
Finally, just a bit about nomenclature in the [[Wiki_Education_Foundation#Classroom_Program|Classroom Program]] section, our organization is Wiki Ed or the Wiki Education Foundation, [https://wikiedu.org/for-media/ not "Wiki Edu."]

Do we translate the page any day?[edit]

Omotecho: that module was part of an older version of training modules on English Wikipedia (which could be copied over to other languages and translated). However, we don't use or maintain that training system anymore. Currently, our training system is the one that is integrated into the two dashboards: Wiki Education Dashboard and Programs & Events Dashboard. The second one has training modules that can be translated, if you think they would be useful for the ja.wikipedia community. The way to do that is to visit a training slide (like this one), follow the 'wiki source' link at the bottom (which goes to a page like this), translate the page using Meta's translation system, then go to the index page for that training module (like this) and click 'reload from source' at the bottom.
