== Please note the usage of [[Template:Date]] ==
== Hi ==

The correct usage is '''<nowiki>{{Date||MM|DD}}</nowiki>'''. If there is no year, please keep a blank but not delete the first parameter. What you wrote in [[Template:Main Page/WM News]] had made the Chinese version show a confusing version and I corrected them. Thank you. Hi, thanks for your recent post on Vietnamese Wikipedia Facebook group. I wonder how the content you posted is translated into Vietnamese, and if there is ready-made content, where can I find it, and in the future how can I help you with the translation? Thanks! :{{ping|Tryvix1509}} hi, thank you for your interest! For this round of the Universal Code of Conduct vote we have translators hired by the Foundation to translate announcements and related materials to the voting, and Vietnamese is one of the languages covered. Language coverage for the works of the MSG team varies on case-by-case basis, and I will be sure to let me know if there is any opportunity for translation into Vietnamese for volunteer translators in the future. Thanks again! [[User:RamzyM (WMF)|RamzyM (WMF)]] ([[User talk:RamzyM (WMF)#top|talk]]) 04:55, 2 February 2023 (UTC)

Good day, I've requested for removal of your [[User_talk:JSutherland_(WMF)#RamzyM_(WMF)|translation admin user right]]. --[[User:Minorax|<span style="font-family: monospace, monospace; color:#69C">Min☠︎rax</span>]]&laquo;&brvbar;[[User talk:Minorax|'''talk''']]&brvbar;&raquo; 14:56, 24 February 2024 (UTC)
Hi, Ramzy, I can’t thank you enough for 11 June ESEAP session which was very intuitive, thank you as ever for taking care of our region.

:Thanks for the ping. I have relayed this to my manager. Best, [[User:RamzyM (WMF)|RamzyM (WMF)]] ([[User talk:RamzyM (WMF)#top|talk]]) 18:13, 24 February 2024 (UTC)
Excuse me sharing a murmur as a translator: how can we avoid ''for bot task only tags'' pollute translation work? Such instances as with [https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Translate&showMessage=ESEAP_Hub%2FCommunity_Yellow_Pages%2F240&group=page-ESEAP+Hub%2FCommunity+Yellow+Pages&language=ja&filter=&optional=1&action=translate $user] should not be marked to translate IMHO. Very boring and eats up volunteerism, as it repeats over and over again. /: Cheers, [[User:Omotecho|Omotecho]] ([[User talk:Omotecho|talk]]) 19:12, 11 June 2023 (UTC)

:Thanks for reaching out {{u|Minorax}}. I'm Ramzy's manager and went over the revisions you've provided. We appreciate your help in providing high-quality translation mark up and bringing this to our attention. [[User:Xeno (WMF)|Xeno (WMF)]] ([[User talk:Xeno (WMF)|talk]]) 21:01, 26 February 2024 (UTC)
:That is an excellent question, [[User:Omotecho|Omotecho]]. Agree that it would be much more productive for translators to not doing these things constantly, I'm not sure if there's any automated way to do it. Hi. I noticed that you [[Special:Diff/26516406|marked]] {{u|PEarley (WMF)}} as being former staff, but they still have their user groups and haven't been locked (which I believe is what usually happens for former staff). Just wanted to check if Patrick is still staff or not (feel free to weigh in if you see this ping too, Patrick!). [[User:Sdrqaz|Sdrqaz]] ([[User talk:Sdrqaz|talk]]) 13:16, 2 April 2024 (UTC)
Shouldn't it be [[Wikimedia Foundation elections committee/Nominations/2023/Announcement - new members]]? And is there a reason why the announcement doesn't mention the usernames of the new members? :) [[User:Johannnes89|Johannnes89]] ([[User talk:Johannnes89|talk]]) 17:48, 27 June 2023 (UTC)

:Well, you caught my unfortunate typo there :) I think it should be fine since I plan to send this as a MassMessage globally later, which will have the section header as its title. We aim for a simple announcement linked to an email that the Board chair will send to Wikimedia-l mailing list this week, which will contain the names of the new members and advisory members. Cheers, [[User:RamzyM (WMF)|RamzyM (WMF)]] ([[User talk:RamzyM (WMF)#top|talk]]) 18:52, 27 June 2023 (UTC)

== Question ==
== Sunday July 16 [[Strategic Wikimedia Affiliates Network]] meeting (Global Council focus, now available in ar, es, fr!) ==

I have a [[Universal Code of Conduct/Coordinating Committee/Election/2024/Questions|question]] that (I think) most people want to ask all U4C candidates, but I can’t ask it myself because I’m not an eligible voter. Can you ask it for me? The question is below.
[[File:Schwanengelege 3.jpg|thumb|SWAN: The Next Generation]]
The [[Strategic Wikimedia Affiliates Network]] (SWAN) is a developing forum for all [[Wikimedia movement affiliates]] to share ideas on the [[Strategy/Wikimedia movement/2018-20|Wikimedia 2030 strategy process]]. It expands on the model of the [[All-Affiliates Brand Meeting]] to help lay some of the groundwork for a future [[Global Council]].

=== Systemic issues ===
We'll focus on strategic and outreach topics of mutual concern to all affiliates including [[:wikimania:2023:Wikimania|Wikimania Singapore]], Future of SWAN, [[Movement Charter/Content]] new sections (particularly [[Movement Charter/Content/Global Council]]), other activities you submit, and we will top it all off with a grand finale AI Happy Hour / Doom Hour!

Would you be willing to investigate your most commonly edited wiki for systemic issues, even if doing so causes you to be socially ostracized on that wiki? [insert signature here] [[User:Adrianmn1110|Adrianmn1110]] ([[User talk:Adrianmn1110|talk]]) 13:09, 4 April 2024 (UTC)

== U4C ==

Dear Ramzy,

How you do? Thank you for your kind reminder of the election. Unfortunately, it is not my intention to vote. Basically, I lost clue of whatever the vote is about. And I don't have the time, the resources, and the vocation to start an in depth study of such matters, as they seem to have moved way beyond the understanding of the average human being, to enter the realm of the experts, connosieurs and -I guess- interested parties.

Therefore, I have decided to devote my energies -these being in increasingly shorter supply- to the endavours that fulfil more directly and in a way that I manage to understand the improvement of my intellect. Those activities being partly Wikimedia related, but also including non Wikimedia parts.

I find very frustrating and quite contradictory that an organization trying to reach everybody has developed into some kind of bureaucratic behemoth. Such things happen!

Thanks a lot for your very kind communication and receive my best wishes. [[User:B25es|B25es]] ([[User talk:B25es|talk]]) 05:55, 3 May 2024 (UTC)
