About me

Hello! I'm Steven Walling. I've been a contributor to Wikimedia projects since 2006 (see my volunteer userpage). In 2010, I joined the Wikimedia Foundation as part of the Fellowships program, and later became a staff member based in San Francisco.

My work

Here at the Foundation, I worked to support the growth and continued health of the volunteer communities that build the projects and fulfill Wikimedia's mission. In plain English, I was the product owner for the Growth team, and was a part of the broader Engineering & Product Development department.
