Only the first 2 languages of a babel template are used, and only creating categories for Native languages and Advanced users. For smaller languages maybe the intermediate users could be added.

: The categories involved could be added to user pages direclty as well by adding one or more lines like:
: ''<nowiki>[[Category:Users xx yy-n]]</nowiki>''.
: This might be needed for users who have more languages as advanced speaker, users that have not filled their native language at the top or users that have substituted the babel templates.

=== New categories ===
See [http://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Categories&offset=Users&limit=500 Special:Categories Users*]

The category structure should be setup like
{| border="1" |
|Category:Users xx yy-3
|Category:Users xx yy-4
|Category:Users xx-3 yy
|Category:Users xx-4 yy
|-
| colspan="4" align="center" | Category:Users xx yy
|-
| colspan="2" align="center" | Category:User xx
| colspan="2" align="center" | Category:User yy
|}

If the categories do not exist they can easily be created by adding [[:Template:Babelmulti1]] [http://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Whatlinkshere&target=Template%3ABabelmulti1 refs]
Via [[:Category:Users en fr]] these category can be links to
:<nowiki>{{</nowiki>Babelmulti'''1'''|xx|yy}} <nowiki><!-- languagues on alfabetical order --></nowiki>
* [[:Category:User en]]
* [[:Category:User fr]]

:Only create missing categories with combinations of Native languages '''and''' Advanced users.
:Don't create categories with level 1 or 2.

As wikimedia has a need for translators for one language into an other I (User:HenkvD) thougth it would be usefull to have a list of users who can speak more languages.

Babel templates[edit]

From now on all users using the Babel templates will be categorized on combination of their top-2 languages, like

This is easily realized by adding one line to Template:Babel, Template:Babel-2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10

[[Category:Users {{{1}}} {{{2}}}|{{PAGENAME}}]]

Only the first 2 languages of a babel template are used, and only creating categories for Native languages and Advanced users. For smaller languages maybe the intermediate users could be added.

The categories involved could be added to user pages direclty as well by adding one or more lines like:
[[Category:Users xx yy-n]].
This might be needed for users who have more languages as advanced speaker, users that have not filled their native language at the top or users that have substituted the babel templates.

New categories[edit]

See Special:Categories Users*

The category structure should be setup like

Category:Users xx yy-3 Category:Users xx yy-4 Category:Users xx-3 yy Category:Users xx-4 yy
Category:Users xx yy
Category:User xx Category:User yy

If the categories do not exist they can easily be created by adding Template:Babelmulti1 refs

{{Babelmulti1|xx|yy}} <!-- languagues on alfabetical order -->
Only create missing categories with combinations of Native languages and Advanced users.
Don't create categories with level 1 or 2.

These category can be linked to Category:User en and Category:User fr via

If these categories do not exist they can easily be created by adding Template:Babelmulti2 refs

{{Babelmulti2|xx|yy}} <!-- languagues on alfabetical order -->
