(in short somebody else needs to write this - I'm clueless, and maybe even biased).
Haaretz is Israel's oldest newspaper and considered to be Israel's newspaper of record, known for its left-wing pov. An English version of the story should be coming out (when?) Haaretz is strongly against Natanyahu's "coup" (aka supreme court "reform").
The controversy is about the responsibility for ignoring intelligence (politicians or intelligence services, and which politicians)
Story covers evidence that the IDF and governments knew about the attacks beforehand and that Hebrew Wikipedia may have been pushing related conservative political views and that English Wikipedia includes different (Gazan) point-of-view.
their headline: "Ronen Bar is responsible, Netanyahu is not: the battle over the default in Gaza is on Wikipedia"
Quote: '... claims began to be heard that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's "poison machine" had also reached Wikipedia. Many editors and citizens have found many examples - and not only of Yaakov - of trending editorials that promote the line attributed to Netanyahu and his entourage, according to which the security establishment bears responsibility for the failure that led to the Hamas terrorist attack.'
Yaakov is a Hebrew Wiki editor, nothing is written about any relation to Omer ben Yaakov, so I assume there is none. Yaakov (Jacob) is a common name in Israel, so my worry is/was approx. if "User:Jacob" is "Omer Jacobson". Apparently not, but somebody who can deal with Hebrew language better than me should check, to see what that lack of info means (e.g. it's so obvious that there is no relation that it doesn't need to be mentioned)
I may suggest more quotes but my further participation in writing is dependent on getting a proper English language version and learning more about Israeli politics Smallbones(smalltalk) 13:46, 26 November 2023 (UTC)

If you’d like to know why, you should go read the derby’s page, too!

Two-column vs full width styles

If you keep the 'normal' preloaded draft and work from there, you will be using the two-column style. This is perfectly fine in most cases and you don't need to do anything.
