Jamaican Patois is a Creole language spoken in Jamaica. It has more than 2,000,000 speakers in Jamaica and large immigrant speaking communities in Costa Rica and Panama. This Wikipedia would be well maintained. Also, 53% of the Jamaican population have access to the internet. And probably more in immigrant communities in Costa Rica, Panama and the United States.

Arguments in favor

  • 'Support' The wiki would grow due to a large number of speakers. --Kanzler31 01:48, 12 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • 'Support' This language is spoken in Jamaica (among all levels of society), and in expat commnuities all over the world. It would also encourage a wealth of information about Jamaica, the Caribbean, Jamaican peoples' perspective on things and Jamaican issues to Wikipedia. This would then encourage their translation (via direct and TOTW) to other WPs. fr33kman t - c 01:11, 13 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
