Category history
Merged with Community Wishlist Survey 2022/Categories/Improve tracking of categorization changes.
- Problem: There is no way to see what pages were previously in a category, nor when the pages currently there were placed there.
- Who would benefit: Anyone monitoring specific categoties.
- Proposed solution: Create a "category history", which will allow users to see the history of wbat entered and exited the category. This won't be perfect (changes to categorization via template, lack of history before implementation), but would help in most situations.

Discussion
- I agree that this is very practical, because there is a situation in our community, that is, "remove all the pages in the category, and then apply for deletion to delete the category page". Although it is possible to monitor the category page immediately, and then view it through "RecentChanges" or "Watchlist", it is not efficient. And if it is found vandalism, it is not easy to restore (don't know which pages were originally in this category). This requires a more convenient way to see what pages have been added or removed from categories. --Cwek (talk) 00:59, 14 January 2022 (UTC)
- This is highly related to Community Wishlist Survey 2022/Categories/Improve tracking of categorization changes but seems to propose a solution, when it would be better to propose the problem to be solved as that one does. --Izno (talk) 02:11, 17 January 2022 (UTC)
