Improved math and chemistry formula insertion
Outside the scope of Community Tech
- Problem: There are problems with inserting a math or chemistry formula into Wikipedia, such as the length of time it takes to write a formula or the difficulty of writing a formula with existing tools; Computing websites like Microsoft Math Solver, wolframalpha, and symbolab use several different models for inserting formulas and do not have the current problems with Wikipedia. If other modes on these sites are added to Wikipedia or Wikimedia software, the speed of writing and text correction will be very high.
- Who would benefit: All Wikipedia users, especially editors, will benefit
- Proposed solution:
- More comments: It is now possible to add a formula in the Insert tab, but the simplicity and speed of working with it does not reach the level of the mentioned websites and needs to be improved.

Discussion
- Hello and thanks for this proposal, we are moving this to the Archive because we are unable to integrate with proprietary software when building solutions. The LaTex syntax is more common than other open source alternatives. Thanks for your time! Regards, NRodriguez (WMF) (talk) 01:43, 18 January 2022 (UTC)
