Sunday February 21 Strategic Wikimedia Affiliates Network meeting

We are a mosiac.

The Strategic Wikimedia Affiliates Network (SWAN) is a developing forum for all Wikimedia movement affiliates to share ideas on the Wikimedia 2030 strategy process. It expands on the model of the All-Affiliates Brand Meeting to help lay some of the groundwork for a future Global Council.

Following up on the August, September, October, November, and January SWAN meetings and June's All-Affiliates Brand Meeting, as well as strategic and outreach topics of mutual concern to all affiliates, this month we are meeting on Sunday February 21, and you are all invited to RSVP here.

To help set priorities for the SWAN agenda, and also to help manage which global conversations should be a focus in general, we have set up and invite everyone to participate at this SWAN priorities form.

Possible topics include Community Board seats, Interim Global Council, Strategy prioritization follow-up events, Branding, Universal Code of Conduct, Grant strategy, and WMF CEO search. That is a lot of things, which are most important to cover in our upcoming SWAN meeting?

Following the regular call, in SWAN after hours: Wikimedia Meet Jitsi social event with brainstorming for possible Nano Charter ideas, plus any other topics.

Thank you for participation in Ukraine's Cultural Diplomacy Month!

Hi, VALENTIN NVJ!

Thank you very much for participating in Ukraine's Cultural Diplomacy Month! My apologies for not sending this message sooner – but be assured, your contributions are very valuable!
The organisers welcome you participation. We hope you had fun! Some users faced the notability issues of the suggested articles; we recognise that the list of suggested articles wasn't flawless.
The project is not ended until all worthy participants receive their souvenirs! There will be another message from the organising team soon about this.
Stay safe, we appreciate you being a Wikipedian that you are -- ViraMotorko (WMUA) (talk) 09:37, 5 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Wikimania 2021 in-person event list

I'm sending you this message because you posted on Wikimania 2021/Scholarships saying you plan to host a local Wikimania 2021 event.

I've just created a wiki-page to list all offline / in-person / "physical" Wikimania 2021 events. It would be great if you can add yours to this list:

Pilot Enrollment: Equity Landscape Metrics & Dashboard

Hi @VALENTIN NVJ:

Thank you for your interest in piloting the Wikimedia Movement Data Landscape dashboard and metrics. Through this small pilot we will be completing pre-beta testing of these new metrics and tool functions. We intend to gather feedback from community stakeholders on the data elements and dashboard functions for improvements before launching an initial public dashboard. In order to proceed, we must ensure that all pilot participants meet each of the eligibility requirements:

  1. Have an applicable use case during the pilot period (February - March 2022),
  2. Commit to engage during the pilot period, and
  3. Agree to sign a data non-disclosure agreement (NDA) for early data access.

If you meet these requirements, you are now invited to next steps for enrolling in the pilot. In order to help us align virtual sessions with your use case interests and to send you the required NDA, we need you to complete a google survey to share your contact details. Use of the data collected by this survey form will be governed by our published privacy statement. Please complete the survey at your earliest convenience, and before the end of day January 23, 2022 to ensure needed turn-around time for the pilot’s start in February. Please also note that we will not be able to associate contact information shared via the google survey with your username we are communicating through here, so we will not be able to know if you have signed up and will switch to contacting pilot participants via the email they share in that survey submission. Thus there will not be further reminders beyond a note at the start of the meta consultation period in February. If you run into any challenges, please message us back, here on your talk page, so that we might assist you. Once again, we thank you for your time and participation. -- NaRay (WMF) (talk) 23:34, 11 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
