Uncommon question about assigning a 'dead' account

Hello there, I'm a german Wikipedia user de:User:Onetwo / Stats. Recently I've stumbled upon the SUL feature, and got amazed by the idea immediately. I've tried to upgrade my account, but at the beginning of the merge process I realized that an account with the same name does already exist in the en-Wikipedia. And now I'm not sure if I registered that account in 12/05 and never used it, or if it wasn't me. I've registered my de-Wikipedia account in 04/06. I'd like to ask if it would be possible to rename that dead Onetwo account in the en-Wikipedia so that I could get registered in the en-Wikipedia with that name? I know, this is an unusual request, but if it is possible, what would be the next steps I should take? PS: I hope my request does not violate any en-Wikipedia law?

Unused SUL accounts

Stemming from a request at w:WP:CHUU, if you would like to "usurp" an SUL, would that be at all possible? In this case, the target username has no global contributions, however there is an SUL. Although stewards can delete SULs, I don't think that even under these circumstances it would happen, but I'm asking for further clarification. demize (talk) 22:02, 21 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

From past experience, stewards will typically delete a global account if it has no attached accounts; thus a user seeking to vacate a global account would need to usurp all the attached accounts to have them detached from the SUL before making a request at m:SR/SUL. –xeno 16:02, 23 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
