Courses

Training course to university professors and students (6 lessons between February 15 and March 4, 2021) delivered to the Female Toponymy Association as part of the project Digital Vitamins funded by the Lazio Region to support publishing. What is Wikipedia, the 5 pillars, licenses of use and copyright, copyviol, reliable sources, what is WikiDonne, practical demonstration of two translations - from English and French - with the Translate Content Tool, practical demonstration for writing ex novo of an article and student practice on article's writing using VE.

WikiDonne meets cOSMopolIT (March 20, 2021), meeting with the cOSMopolIT group: [$OSM presentation of Open Street Map] and mapathon:

  • Durante la campagna Wikipedia Pages Wanting Photos, sono state scritte 5 nuove voci e migliorate 30 voci (aggiunta di info e foto di buona qualità scattate durante i concorsi Wiki Loves Monuments, Wiki Loves Earth, Wiki Loves Folklore). #WPWPWD (dal 1 luglio al 31 agosto).
  • Interwiki Women 5. The international campaign conceived together with Armenia and Argentina in 2017, for the writing of significant biographies of each country. Now in its fifth edition, it had as its theme Women Leadership and Empowerment and took place from 13 August to 17 September, in conjunction with various world conferences on this theme. The Women in Red project participated in the campaign; more than 130 entries have been written in Italian, English and Spanish.
  • Planetology Wiki Edit-a-thon 2021 (13–26 September 2021). Wikimedia Belgium and Wikimujeres participated in the second edition of the international campaign on diversity in planetary sciences organized during EPSC Conference by Euro Planet with the support of WikiDonne.

Concept & main organization

  • Wiki Loves Sport 2021, third edition of the international campaign that we conceived in 2018, which this year covered the Olympic, Parolympic Games and the European Women's Volleyball Championship. 20 participants (of which 15 competitors and 5 out of competition) wrote 476 new entries and 17 improved entries in 7 languages (Italian, Kurdish, Arabic, French, Hindi, Bengali, English). 11 prizes were awarded.
  • Wiki Loves Fashion 2021, third edition of the international campaign that we created in 2018, which has the dress code as its theme. From 18 September to 17 October. The connection with the Wikimedia Conference North America is foreseen for the Ada Lovelace Day .

Two new projects

  • Fossil hunters, a project started on the occasion of the 27th anniversary of the discovery of the dinosaur Antonio, a Tethyshadros insularis.
  • Women and comics, started on the occasion of the editathon and the exhibition at Palazzo Merulana in Rome Women in comics.
