::: I looked for "About us", "contact us", "FAQ" or similar links on the site for any hints on how they maintain reliability. • Undecided. At first blush, this looks somewhat marginal. The event organization has an official web site here, and I found two press releases issued by the event sponsors in 2009 here and here. Those don't appear to be independent sources, so not enough based on that. On the other hand, a google search for "National Basketball & Hip-Hop Culture Month" turns up a pretty remarkable 15,000 hits! A quick review of some of the lead hits shows the proclamations of NBHHCM by the mayors of Baltimore and Philadelphia has received coverage on sites such as Urban Dictionary, Black History.com and here and here, Black Vibes, Today's Drum, "Ball Is Life", Hip Hop Press, Fox Sports Community, NBA Basketball Info, Hoopedia, People's World, and Christ the King Church. Many or most of these appear to be blogs, talk forums, or sites that allow the event sponsors to post their press release. Also, I'm not sure how reliable these sites are as sources to establish notability. I can find no coverage of the event in any mainstream media outlet, which I would expect if the event were truly notable. There is a discussion on a talk page for the Baltimore Sun here, but this appears to be a blog/open forum rather than editorial content of the newspaper. Once others have weighed in with views on the reliability of the myriad sources covering the event, I'll feel more comfortable voting to Keep or Delete. Cbl62 (talk) 00:19, 13 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. On closer review, the sites linked above appear to be nothing more than re-postings of the press release issued by the event promoters. Absent some showing of coverage in mainstream media or other reliable sources (and beyond merely re-posting a press release), this one doesn't appear to meet notability requirement. 03:27, 13 April 2011 (UTC)

  • Delete I found the same sources as Cbl62. Press releases are not independent, so cannot be used to establish notability per WP:INDEPENDENT. The other sites have no editorial control, and blogs not from experts or reliable sources like newspapers are not reliable per WP:BLOGS. —Bagumba (talk) 01:25, 13 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
