Welcome to my Meta user page! I am Church of emacs, a Wikimedian. If you want to leave me a message, you can do so at my talk page. If you would like to lean more about me, read below. By the way: You can edit this page right now.

My work

I am a Wikimedian, mostly active on the German Wikipedia (where I am also a sysop and oversight), but also on the English Wikipedia, Wikimedia Commons and Meta (beside some other projects). I am also a member of the email support team (OTRS).

What I do here
  • Translations. I translate English->German and sometimes German->English
  • Stewards/elections 2010 – I helped create and monitor the template system for the vote, and verify eligibility of candidates
  • Participation in all kinds of projects/discussions/polls/etc.
What I do on Wikimedia projects
  • (maintenance) fighting vandalism on dewiki and globally as part of the Small Wiki Monitoring Team
  • (maintenance) doing administrative work
  • (maintenance) oversight work on German Wikipedia
  • (encyclopedic) writing and improving articles.
  • (technical) supporting new Wikimedians and answering their questions (especially about technical issues)
  • (technical) filing bug reports and feature requests (at the moment, I'm beginning to learn php and I already fixed a small number of minor bugs myself)
  • (technical) creating 'intelligent' templates using ParserFunctions and magic words
