Hindi, the official language of India is one of the largest spoken languages in the world. Hindi literature contains literature in all Hindi languages, including its dialects like: Brij Bhasha, Bundeli, Awadhi, Kannauji, Marwari, Maithili, Magahi, Bhojpuri and Bihari languages in Devnagari (Hindi) script. पूर्ण समर्थन--अनुनाद सिंह - हिन्दी बोलने और समझने वालों की संख्या बहुत विशाल है। हिन्दी में साहित्य का विशाल भण्डार भी है। इसलिये हिन्दी का अपना विकिसोर्स डोमेन प्रदान किये जाने की मांग न्यायसंगत है।

Support. The Hindi collection on oldwikisource is one of the largest, and there is a regular stream of good anonymous contributions to the collection. I am sure that a Hindi wikisource will grow quickly. John Vandenberg 10:45, 2 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

पूर्ण समर्थन--Shree There is a large Hindi contribution, both under Categories:Hindi as well as Categories:हिन्दी . All these should eb moved under the subdomain. I would also request that the input method for hindi, setup for hindi wikipedia should be setup for all other hindi subdomains such as wikisource. the method should also be made available for sanskrit, marathi, nepali etc. which also use the devanagari script. I hope for quick action on this. Thanks.

Currently the localisation of the Hindi interface is 96.56% for the core messages and 84.65% for the extensions used in the WMF. There is always a need for help with localisation and proof reading. In a period of 10 days some 250 messages may need work. The price we pay for living on a bleeding edge is a need for continous work on our localisations ...
