The Wikimedia Foundation communications staff manages verified social media accounts for the Foundation and Wikipedia. The two largest are a 5 million-fan Facebook page for Wikipedia, and a 368,000-follower Twitter account, @wikipedia. Verified Instagram, and Pinterest accounts are used to post public domain and CC0 licensed photos. Our social media strategy is to act as brand ambassadors, bridging the gap between a curious public and complex movement. To take part in community conversations about our social media, join our Facebook group or the email list, Socialmedia-internal(_AT_)lists.wikimedia.org.

If you see any problems with our social media, email social media associate Aubrie Johnson immediately at ajohnson(_AT_)wikimedia.org, or email socialmedia-internal(_AT_)wikimedia.org.
