Protection against IP vandals

Two race-related pages in the Igbo WP are being repeatedly vandalized by different IP addresses:

Would page protection to restrict editing to account users accomplish the purpose? Please note that the IGwiki doesn't have an Admin and only a few editors other than Edit-a-thons. I patrol daily and also perform maintenance, but don't know the language. -- Deborahjay (talk) 08:58, 2 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

UPDATE This problem continues on nearly a daily basis. -- Deborahjay (talk) 15:41, 5 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Deborahjay: I have semiproteced those two pages for 3 months for excessive vandalism. In the future, I suggest to write such requests to GSR or SRM, which are monitored by more people capable to act. Thanks! --Martin Urbanec (talk) 19:48, 5 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
I think protection requests like these should be directed to SRM since I'm pretty sure this is not common on small wikis, unlike enwiki. GSR is more for deletion and blocking, pretty much how TwinkleGlobal functions with GSR. Can I Log In (talk) 01:52, 6 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Small wiki audit/Malagasy Wiktionary

Please take a look at this page, where I have detailed the massive problems with the Malagasy Wiktionary. I know that the SWMT mostly fights vandalism, but this is a very large-scale issue on what is actually quite a small wiki in terms of actual editors. I am looking for community input on this, so we can move forward and clean up the mess. Metaknowledge (talk) 02:13, 16 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Referred page has been moved to join with RFC on subject.  — billinghurst sDrewth 00:32, 26 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
