sockpuppet from jawiki
Please add these entries.
I am sysop of jpwp. These usernames are created by sockpuppet to harass and sabotage specific sysops using sysop names or parts thereof. Most of them are blocked by AbuseFilter, but this time they continue to harass and interfere by leaving AbuseFilter logs. It also interferes with monitoring AbuseFilter logs. I have been suffering from this problem for a long time.--えのきだたもつ (talk) 17:24, 12 June 2023 (UTC)
- @えのきだたもつ: is there a consensus from your community to have this addition? If so, please would you provide a link. Did the conversation look at potential consequences of the block and variations that could cause false positives. As a non-ja speaker I am unable to understand the feature and value of the regex that you provided, so we are relying on your community for that aspect and perspective. — billinghurst sDrewth 07:16, 15 June 2023 (UTC)
- Adding a comment as another jawp sysop. I Support this addition, these regular expressions ban pagetitles that contain the names of certain jawp sysops (the first is for User:えのきだたもつ, the second for User:さかおり, the third for myself, User:Dragoniez, and the fourth for User:柏尾菓子). In fact, I often see these users' user pages (or any page that contains the names) getting vandalized across multiple projects (e.g. by ja:LTA:HEATHROW), and えのきだたもつ's user talk pages are typical examples of this vandalism (I'm pretty sure that this is what has been bothering him/her because you get a notification when someone edits your user talk page). Concerning the abuse log matter, jawp has been subject to log vandalism these days by socks that intentionally trigger counter-LTA filters while they know that their edits will be rejected (so they can leave a bunch of, in fact too many, filter logs). This addition can also prevent this vandalism, so I support it. --Dragoniez (talk) 09:48, 15 June 2023 (UTC)
- Sorry take the above comment of mine to be talking about account creation. The code above would work well to prevent impersonation etc. Dragoniez (talk) 12:20, 16 June 2023 (UTC)
- Support I think this is validity and should be supported.--
USSR-Slav (talk) 02:15, 19 June 2023 (UTC)- Comment As mentioned above, there are multiple {{Support}} and no {{Oppose}}, and more than a week has passed, so I think we have reached a consensus. These usernames have been properly prevented from being created by AbuseFilter for a long time and are not likely to result in potential blocking or false positives. So I am making this request.See @Dragoniez:'s comment for the functionality and value of the regular expressions I provided.Even after making this request, evidence of fraudulent creation attempts has been left in the AbuseFilter log every day.--えのきだたもつ (talk) 15:05, 27 June 2023 (UTC)
- Comment I would like to inform you that ja:Wikipedia‐ノート:編集フィルター#編集フィルターで阻止している特定利用者を揶揄した利用者名のTitle_blacklistへの登録 has reached consensus on jawp. Based on the ja:Wikipedia:合意形成#合意形成, there was no objection for the week required for consensus building on jawp, so consensus building has been established. As you can see from the recent 1 month of fraudulent creation attempts at ja:Wikipedia‐ノート:編集フィルター#編集フィルターで阻止している特定利用者を揶揄した利用者名のTitle_blacklistへの登録, the fraudulent creation attempts are still continuing, so I would like to register as soon as possible.--えのきだたもつ (talk) 11:08, 20 July 2023 (UTC)
- Support I think this will ease the burden on the JAWP community.--Chqaz (talk) 13:12, 20 July 2023 (UTC)
- Comment Could we add these entries. I think there's a consensus on the addition. Please let us know if we need to provide further information. Dragoniez (talk) 01:53, 21 August 2023 (UTC)
- Comment The third entry should be
.*(dra[cqg]on[ie]{2}[sz]|[どド][らラ][こコごゴ][にニ二][いイえエーー一―][すスずズ]).*<newaccountonly>
to ensure that the alteration doesn't exclude either.*

Proposed removals
This section is for proposing that a title be unlisted; please add new entries at the bottom of the section. Remember to provide the specific title or regex blacklisted, links to the articles they are used in or useful to, and arguments in favour of unlisting. Completed requests will be marked as done or denied and archived. The addition or removal of a title is not a vote, please do not bold the first words in statements. |
