During the online meeting among EPC members on 2 May 2024, we have decided to discuss about the finance-related matters of ESEAP Hub.
Background
While the official permanent committees of ESEAP Hub has not been formed, despite the ESEAP Conference 2024 is approaching, the EPC committees have decided to discuss on the details on how to finance the ESEAP Hub at the very minimum manpower to ensure the continuity of the hub, irrespective of any decision-making committees which will be chosen based on election by the members of ESEAP communities.
Scope
Minimum
The very last scope of budgeting needed to run the ESEAP Hub at its very minimum expenditure is to pay three people (from three different regions of ESEAP and must be a resident there (e.g. citizens, permanent residence, working/student/dependent visas holders etc) to do the office works of ESEAP Hub, such as:
- documentation
- legal compliance
- reporting to Wikimedia Foundation and to the ESEAP communities
Expected
When ESEAP Hub has been formed with all of the elected council members, the budgeting scope can be increase to include all of the outreach events of the hub.
