Sertai kami dalam meneroka bagaimana AI bakal membentuk masa depan Kebudayaan Bersumber Bebas!!

AvoinGLAM menjemput pendukung Kebudayaan Bersumberkan Bebas dan pencipta ekosistem terbuka untuk menyertai GLAM s (Galleries, Libraries, Archives and Museums) Finland, projek penyelidikan dan syarikat-syarikat dalam membayangi masa depan Kebudayaan Bersumberkan Bebas pada zaman AI kini. Acara ini diadakan di Helsinki pada 6-7 Mei sejurus selepas acara Hackathon Wikimedia di Tallinn pada 3-5 Mei. Acara dua hari ini akan mendengar ceramah berinspirasi dari peserta, meneroka tema umum dan bekerja dengannya menerusi bengkel latihan pada hari kedua.

We wish to invite a diverse mix of technology developers, heritage experts, policy advocates and makers from the open ecosystem, memory institutions, academia, and the tech industry. With a maximum capacity of 100 participants, we aim to ensure equal representation across all groups. Everyone is important, and we thank you for making sure you'll be there!

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide grants for accommodation or travel, and our ability to cover meals and sauna is dependent on possible financial support. The event is free of charge, and we appreciate your understanding of these limitations.

Why is joining a good idea for me?

For a culture & heritage professional this is a great opportunity to see AI technologies in action and to discuss with peers what the adoption of the technologies could look like.

In collaboration with the representatives of several organizations representing open culture, it is possible to foresee future trends in open sharing of cultural heritage materials.

The event is a chance to focus on discussion and foresight or delve into developing, and use the opportunity to try out tools and technologies in practice. Whether this is your first encounter with AI technologies or you work with that professionally, we hope the event gives you takeaways for your future activities.

Monday 6 May: Getting inspired

Inspire talks

Workshop

14:00–18:00 In the afternoon we continue at the National Archives of Finland and generate ideas and scenarios for encountering future developments of AI and ideate activities for the next day.

Sauna and sea pool

18:00–21:00 The working day is followed by sauna, sea pool, bites and mingling at Allas Sea Pool.

Tuesday 7 May: Hack day

Hands-on working

The second day takes place at the URBAN3 space at Maria01. It is a playground for exploring the intersection of GLAM + Commons + AI. The participants may propose projects at the Project ideas page already and up until the hack day.

We are using the term hacking, which is usually used to talk about a coding event. However, the activity does not need to be technical. It can be small or big, well-planned or ad-hoc. It could be be testing, talking, learning, hacking, whichever is the best way for anyone to get a better understanding how AI works with cultural heritage collections.
