@علاء: look at the actual Portuguese contribs and see that they have nothing to do with vandalism; it was a blatantly involved block by EVinente. Moreover, this user needs renaming as a legitimate Commoner and I do not care at all how Portuguese Wikipedians will assess indefblock by one of their sysops for a minor edit war. @Incnis Mrsi: we don't accept requests with indefblock related to vandalism, as per the policy it included under "The user is not seeking the rename to conceal or obfuscate bad conduct.", if it a minor edit war there's 79 sysop in ptwiki (37 active sysop), the user can ask to be unblocked. --Alaa :)..! 03:40, 16 May 2018 (UTC)
This user direly needs renaming because is currently blocked on Commons exactly because of bad username. The renaming request is a determined outcome of the Commons block and has not anything to do with Wikipedia, let alone pt. @علاء: what obfuscation do you speak of? There is a pt.Wikipedia indefblock, and it will be in place after renaming, and the editing record will be the same as before. Why stewards see pt.Wikipedia in a position to obstruct our user for virtually nothing? Please, interpret the policy with human wisdom—why isn’t checking for “concealing or obfuscation” devolved to software indeed?—and do not encourage creation of sock puppets with denial of legitimate demands. I chatted with Legoktm if we could at least merge the mediawiki accounts using UserMerge, but we weren't sure it would work based on the extension actual coding and status. Reedy says reasigning edits is easy though. I'm leaving that decision to the tech people.

@Russian translator: As you said Wikisaurus was your account and you lost the password, and you don't have access to that account too. So why to rename it to Викизавр, because for that there will be three renames; First Викизавр to Викизавр (usurped), second Wikisaurus to Викизавр and third Russian translator to Wikisaurus. I can delete the User talk:Wikisaurus pages with Synchbot if that's what you need. You'd just have a few subpages to delete manually (Synchbot is optimised for deleting one title across all wikis, so it's faster to delete individual pages manually). Rozemarijn vL

But my Dutch account (and global) is still Gebruiker:Rozemarijn vL. To use Commons, I have to log out, and log in to 'vanL'. This is impractical.

My question is: can my old account on Commons (now named User:Rozemarijn vL~commonswiki) and my later made account on Commons (User:Rozemarijn vanL) both be transferred to the account name I globally use: User:Rozemarijn vL on Commons?

So everything I have uploaded is easy for me to find back? To be clear: the right name is Rozemarijn vL, the wrong name (I use only on Commons) is vanL. Can this all be made to one account under Rozemarijn vL on Commons?

@Rozemarijn vL: We can't merge accounts as you can see a notice on this section. We only do is usurpation now, but in that case if you want commons contribution on account Rozemarijn vL, then you will lose contribution on Dutch Wikipedia. Means we can only assign username Rozemarijn vL to one account which will not solve your problem. So my advice is you use your Dutch account on commons also, and set a redirect on your old account so that you can easily found it's contributions. ‐‐1997kB (talk) 13:18, 23 May 2018 (UTC)
