È uno dei tipi dei canti difonici dai Tuvinianas de Tuva (in Federazzione della Russia). Penso anche che altras Wikipedias dovrebbe avere articoli del canto difonico, in effetti sono stato stupito quando ho notato solamente in en: e fr: abbiate degli articoli di questo argomento. --Node ue 02:46, 10 Jan 2005 (UTC)

I need the pronounciation of the terms in the page. I've heard that Xöömej is pronounced /HOO-mie/, but not quite sure. --Puzzlet Chung 07:53, 24 Jan 2005 (UTC)

  • It is hard to explane... X"o"omej - /hoo-mey/, but oo is not uh: it is long o, like in Estonian. I'm not familiar with SAMPA or IPA, but I thik it shoud be /xœ:mej/.

For another words: y is like Turkish ı or Russian ы, ng - like in English; ee - is long e (/e:/)... --Untifler 21:57, 29 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Pyramiden von Güímar de:Pyramiden von Güímar - 9-0 (Week 3)

en:Pyramids of Güímar I wrote this Article about a mystery of world's history more than one year ago. It contains Links like

  • Guimar, Tenerife, Archeologists, Maya, Aztec, Mexico
  • Canary Islands, Thor Heyerdahl, Guanche, Christopher Columbus, pyramid, etc.

I could upload better versions of the pictures (and others) on Wikimedia Commons. If wished I could make an English translation.--Steffen Löwe Gera 13:44, 18 Dec 2004 (UTC)

The English version is online now, images on Commons will follow soon. --Steffen Löwe Gera 20:01, 28 Dec 2004 (UTC)
The Commons pictures are available now. --Steffen Löwe Gera 19:38, 29 Dec 2004 (UTC)

PS: The Spanish Wikipedia has got a long article about the village (es:Güímar), but the link to "Pirámides de Güímar" is still red.

Indeed, one should note these are African and not Sudamerican
Sorry! I had not read the article before voting! When I saw the links to Maya, Aztec and Mexico, I assumed we were dealing with Mexican pyramids. Now when I read the article, I realise that it is in the Canary Islands, which are of course off the coast of Africa. Ronline 06:30, 13 Jan 2005 (UTC)

I need the pronounciation for "Güímar." --PuzzletChung 02:15, 17 Jan 2005 (UTC)

I don't speak any Spanish, but I think it was somethink like "goo-ee-mar". I think the people there pronounced it on the last syllable, but it wolud better for you to ask a Spanish-speaking person. --Steffen Löwe Gera 16:40, 17 Jan 2005 (UTC)
I do speak Spanish a bit. It's /"gwimar/; two syllables, with the stress on the first. (In most languages the trema indicates a separate syllable, but in Spanish it indicates that u is to be pronounced where it otherwise wouldn't). —Muke Tever 17:43, 19 Jan 2005 (UTC)

  12. Ronline 03:28, 1 Jan 2005 (UTC) - just a question - should we use Kasimov or Qasim, the Tatar name? Although I am a supporter of Tatarstan independence, as far as the English WP article states, Kasimov only has a small Tatar population and is not part of the Tatarstan Republic. Therefore, I think we should use Kasimov when translation (it's not that I wouldn't like to see Qasim used though, but we have to be NPOV)
