This page is for the listing of pages that might be removed for the MetaWikipedia. Add the page you like to be removed to the list.

If you object against the removal of a page, please add your reasons. To challenge a page which was deleted without respect of this process or per mistake, see Wikipedia:Requests for undeletions.

Put a notice on the page listed for removal, like;

'''''Page listed for deletion''''' This page is waiting for removal from the system. If you object make something from this page and remove it from the list [[Meta-Wikimedia:Requests for deletion|Requests for deletion]]. You can put a clarification on the Talk-page.<br> See [[wikipedia:Requests for deletion]]

For the list of deleted files see Wikipedia:Deletion log

Note : as of 25th of november 2003, no deletion policy has ever been discussed among meta users except for what is mentionned above. The current habit is to list below pages created by vandals, technical mistakes, and personal pages as well. Offensive pages are usually deleted without delay. Other pages (in particular irrelevant pages and copyright issues) are usually listed for 15 days or 30 days. Personal pages may be deleted as soon as requested. Pages created by banned users are sometimes left alone, sometimes deleted on sight by some, sometimes restored by others.

Meta deletion policy is not en.wikipedia deletion policy. It must be build by the community of meta editors.

To be deleted: if no objections; on 2003/12/30 (yyyy/mm/dd)

  • I've deleted this. As this may be regarded controversial by some, here's my justification:
    • Point 4 from the "candidates for speedy deletion" section of the Meta:Deletion policy: "Pages created and edited solely by a banned user, after they were banned. This is controversial!" states that such a deletion is allowed, though controversial.
    • The policy goes on to say that "Another reason for keeping the page, or undeleting it would be that the new page is a page of quality, and that Meta will benefit of that new page." I don't feel that this applies to the page I deleted. It is not something which will benefit Meta, and in fact tries to do just the opposite by encouraging behaviour which would be considered damaging to Meta. *Angela 20:26, 12 Dec 2003 (UTC)
