Привет! Мы проводим марафон для тюркоязычных вики и вот наткнулись на проблему. Почти для всех википедий создали Фонтан, где есть активный админ, кроме Саха и Тувинской. И вот, просьба к тебе чтоб для них тоже создал бы. Детали напишу внизу.

Request for a new edit-a-thon tool

Dear Ле Лой, I would like to request for setting up our new edit-a-thon on your Fountain tool. The event's name is "Bulan Sejarah Indonesia 2.0", which is a continuation of Bulan Sejarah Indonesia. This event will start on October 1, 2020 at 00:00 UTC and end on October 31, 2020 at 23:59 UTC.

Minimum number of votes

Dear Ле Лой, in the German language Wikipedia we have a lot of judges this year. I remember an alert, when not all judges have votet for an article. Dear Sebastian Wallroth! Here's a little explainer :-) Hope it's reasonably clear.
Say, if we have 7 jury members and the setting is 3. There are 150 articles in the editathon. All of the articles were marked by 2 jury members or more so here we see "0 articles need to be marked" https://i.imgur.com/jyTLBSs.png
Now let's change the setting to 3. Now there are 39 articles that have only 2 marks. And now we see that I can help with all of them https://i.imgur.com/5lS9gSf.png
Let's look at a different editathon. Here we have 3 jury members and the setting is 2. As a jury member, I see that 115 articles need marks (there are no marks there or only 1; less than the setting). At the same time, only 62 articles need MY mark -- I've marked the rest! Доброе утро. Скоро начнётся второй конкурс «Вики любит Кавказ 2020». По сравнению с прошлым годом в северокавказских разделах будет добавление — Аварская Википедия (av), для которой надо будет создать «Фонтан».   • Приветствую, Soul Train. Сейчас создать «фонтан» можно без моей помощи, но если она всё же желательна, мне нужно больше информации. В прошлом году для всех разделов были разные правила, в этом году они такие же или для всех одинаковые? Если что-то поменялось, прошу указать для каждого языка

Fountain tool for a certain edit-a-thon

Fountain tool for WAM

Hi! The fountain tool creation rules say "To approve an editathon, you must have an admin flag in the corresponding language Wiki-project.", neither me nor my co-jury member is an admin in our home wiki. How can we create it then? Teemeah (talk) 14:06, 27 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Could please create it then? It would be difficult to find an admin who'd come and do this on time, also having to learn a new process just for this. This admin rule should be somehow be revisited and other user groups added too. Being an admin is not a guarantee to anything. Trusted users should be allowed to create an editathon. Word counting

I've made some test with the Preview/Show tool and I've noticed that the tool do not consider the text inside a bullet list. As a mere example look at voy:it:Roma (disambigua) whose word count is 0.

This should be an easy fix; could you support?


More complex is the following that is quite necessary for Wikivoyage where almost all the articles are based on the voy:it:template:listing. Almost each element is described in this way (these are the Italian name, but each language version has teh equivalent template):

Is quite crazy that the word count for voy:it:Pest is just 377! :-D

Hi Andyrom75, this is by design. Fountain encourages users to write coherent text instead of lists with individual words. Disambiguation pages usually do not participate in editathons. If your project wants to allow them, you can delete the minimum size requirements and allow the jury members to decide if the page is big enough for a "Yes" mark. I think Wikivoyage is quite unique in this: most other projects do not format their pages as long lists. Le Loy 21:45, 27 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Can this rule be overridden for Wikivoyage? If not it would be impossible to use this tool on Wikivoyage. A problem with edit-a-thon WAM in Portuguese

Good morning, I come to report a problem that is being caused in edit-a-thon [asian-month-2020-pt]; the problem is this: "A jury (Renato de carvalho ferreira) from the aforementioned edit-a-thon came to tell me that only being able to send articles to edit-a-thon and cannot judge the articles [There is no extra button "Judge"]. Blocked Accounts

Hi Le Loy, we have a problem with blocked users at the German language contest. Accounts that are blocked in the German Wikipedia add random articles to the contest. Error in Fountain

Hi Le Loy, I have a problem with my account that is blocked in the French Wikipedia add random articles to the contest. Asian Month, catalan edition

Hi, is there a way that Fountain could accept the article Drets del col·lectiu LGBT al Kirguizistan? the author used some translation tool and the article appears as created on the 31.10 at 23:49 h. Therefore it is not admited. However, the article was not live till november. The author is complaining and asks for a solution.
