A favicon is the little icon that shows up next to the URL or tab when visiting a site. For example, Meta-Wiki's favicon is viewable here: <https://meta.wikimedia.org/favicon.ico>.

Wikipedia

On 13 April 2013, the Wikipedia favicon was updated.

The old version is on the left and the new one on the right.

Wiktionary

Because Wiktionary has multiple logos, it has multiple favicons.

[FIXME: add links!]

Default

The default Wikimedia favicon is viewable here: <https://bits.wikimedia.org/favicon/wikipedia.ico>.
