Taipei is the provisional capital of the Republic of China and the largest city on Taiwan, a beautiful island off the southeastern coast of China, between Japan and the Philippines. Taipei is also the center of Taiwan's economics, culture, media, and education.
Taipei is a highly developed city in Asia with excellent infrastructure for international conventions and tourism. Taipei is served by the Chiang Kai-shek International Airport (TPE), which provides direct connections to most major cities in North America, Europe, Asia, and Oceania. A newly expanded rapid transit system and an extensive city bus system make local transportation fast and convenient. The National Palace Museum holds the world's largest collection of Chinese artwork and imperial documents. Essentially all varieties of Chinese cuisines can be found in Taipei in the traditional manner with high qualities.
