'''The casual reader: Giza'''

== Current version ==
This is proposed to be the default layout of Wikipedia.
* http://meta.wikipedia.org/upload/0/00/Paddington-2.html
Clarity is the key. The casual reader is looking for information. This template must:
* work on all browsers, all platforms. The goal for old browsers is "usable, maybe ugly".
* give links for readers a greater priority than links for editors, possibly even omitting editing links completely or having them only in the page footer.

Note this is still a '''work in progress'''!

== Design Goals ==
(note that these are up for debate too)

* The following need to be clearly visible:
** name of site
** language links
** "edit this page"
* less clutter
* maybe give the groups of links in the sidebar little headings, eg "site links", "this article", "my settings"
