Steward requests/Global permissions
This is not a vote and any active Wikimedia editor may participate in the discussion.
Global rollback and global interface editor requests require no fewer than 5 days of discussion while abuse filter helper and maintainer requests require no fewer than 7 days. Global renamer and global sysop requests require no fewer than 2 weeks of discussion. For requests that are unlikely to pass under any circumstances, they may be closed by a steward without further discussion (after a reasonable amount of input).

Global rollback for Guerillero
- Global user: Guerillero (edits (alt) • CA • global groups • crossactivity • verify 2FA)
- Not ending before 8 May 2022 20:39 UTC
I am an EN Wikipedia Checkuser and Admin and I want to use SWViewer which requires global rollback. --Guerillero Parlez Moi 20:39, 3 May 2022 (UTC)
- Support: Although lacking in x-wiki contributions, I trust Guerillero's judgement to patrol responsibly using SWViewer and use global rollback carefully ~TNT (talk • she/her) 20:47, 3 May 2022 (UTC)
- Did you try to read the manual before coming here? When requesting permissions to use a tool you should at least be familiar with the tool for which you are requesting the permission. ~~~~
User:1234qwer1234qwer4 (talk) 21:43, 3 May 2022 (UTC)- It seems that I have run into what I would a very silly UX issue. Why can't I just remove enwiki? -- Guerillero Parlez Moi 22:08, 3 May 2022 (UTC)
- Try to add "enwiki" to "Wikis whitelist" and enable "small wikis" and "additional wikis" edits (and don't add "enwiki" in "custom wikis"). Then click "Save". It should work! Superpes15 (talk) 22:32, 3 May 2022 (UTC)

- I'm pretty sure that my first 3000 actions on SWV doesn't require global rollback; I only had rollback on viwiki and wikidata back then, yet I was able to undo non-constructive edits on any other wikis. Oppose since you only have 4 SWV actions and your activity on small wikis varies from little to no; GR policy demands global rollbackers to make heavy use of revert on many wikis before being granted the flag. NguoiDungKhongDinhDanh 22:15, 3 May 2022 (UTC)
- On the other hand, you are making good process. Happy reverting. NguoiDungKhongDinhDanh 22:27, 3 May 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose Sorry but I've to oppose. First of all SWviewer doesn't require GR flag but simply "rollback" flag on at least one project. You are sysop on enwiki so you can use it. You also don't have sufficient cross-wiki experience and the GR flag should be granted to the users who have experience and are active in cross-wiki patrolling and have proven to act with precision during cross-wiki undoes. I will definitely support you when you have gained more experience in patrolling small wikis! --Superpes15 (talk) 22:28, 3 May 2022 (UTC)

Global IP block exempt for Va-foidlma
- Global user: Va-foidlma (edits (alt) • CA • global groups • crossactivity • verify 2FA)
I request you to remove the IP ranges below from blacklist as these IP addresses are from Zscaler, a global cloud security provider (www.zscaler.com) and are legitimate.
Zscaler IP Range: 147.161.246.0/23 165.225.94.0/23
Thanks, Martin --Va-foidlma (talk) 06:00, 3 May 2022 (UTC)
- @Va-foidlma Hello, thanks for the request. In theory, editing via Zscaler should work, because of the XFF headers. I checked, and it seems newest Zscaler ranges are not in our allowlist. I uploaded a fix for that -- hopefully the allowlist will be updated in a week or so. Thank you for your patience, Martin Urbanec (talk) 20:57, 3 May 2022 (UTC)

2FA Tester for FOARP
- Global user: FOARP (edits (alt) • CA • global groups • crossactivity • verify 2FA)
Am getting a warning message of multiple attempts at accessing my account, have a long-term stalker who occasionally tries to hack my online accounts and it's probably them, would be happier with an extra layer of defence, thanks, --FOARP (talk) 07:55, 30 April 2022 (UTC)

2FA Tester for Mr Serjeant Buzfuz
- Global user: Mr Serjeant Buzfuz (edits (alt) • CA • global groups • crossactivity • verify 2FA)
I've had several warnings today that someone is trying to enter my account from an unauthorised device, so would like Two Factor turned on, thanks, --Mr Serjeant Buzfuz (talk) 15:12, 30 April 2022 (UTC)

2FA Tester for Unite together
- Global user: Unite together (edits (alt) • CA • global groups • crossactivity • verify 2FA)
I'd like to enable 2FA globally, rather than locally on Wikidata where I'm a translation administrator. I've read H:2FA and understand how Oauth works. -- U.T. 02:53, 3 May 2022 (UTC)
- @Unite together: 2FA doesn't need to be enabled "globally"; once you've enabled it, it stay enabled no matter where you login. NguoiDungKhongDinhDanh 04:04, 3 May 2022 (UTC)
- Not done as unnecessary. @Unite together: ^ is right. Have 2FA enabled on Wikidata = have 2FA enabled everywhere. 2FA is a global setting, when you enabled it on Wikidata you automatically enabled it on all projects, so 2FA Tester permission is unnecessary. stanglavine msg 16:58, 3 May 2022 (UTC)
2FA Tester for uhuhleuh
- Global user: uhuhleuh (edits (alt) • CA • global groups • crossactivity • verify 2FA)
