Requests for permissions is a page to ask for sysop/admin or bureaucrat access to any Wikimedia wiki where no local means exist to do so yet. A steward will only give you access if your wiki has no bureaucrats (someone who can make sysops). If your wiki has a bureaucrat, please use the requests for adminship page on your own wiki instead.

You can also ask for a bot flag here.

For urgent access (to combat ongoing large-scale vandalism), you may ask on the #wikimedia or #wikimedia-tech IRC channels instead.

Bureaucrat for Malayalam Wikipedia

I'm (ml:User:Manjithkaini) currently the only active sysop and most active contributer on Malayalam Wikipedia with more than 500 edits. I also translated most of the interface. huwiki checkuser status

As we have "discussed" on #wikimedia-tech I hereby request CheckUser flag on Hungarian Wikipedia. The voting page could be found here (including english translation). As far as I see I have the backing of all the admins, too. (Not that it matters, but two "oppose" votes are from editors who are causing nearly all the troubles on huwiki and the reason for the request itself: IGe uses sock puppets heavily [and about to be banned for a longer period of time due to violating nearly everything possible] and Math just came back from having repeatedly banned for personal attacks [and probably looking forward to be banned for a longer period of time].) Neapolitan Wikipedia admin status

Kapampangan Wikipedia (pam) sysop

Cebuano Wikipedia (ceb) sysop

I am requesting sysop status for Bentong Isles (myself) and Harvey at the Cebuano wikipedia. Lately (see our Recent Changes Page) some pages which are not fit for wikipedia have been created by an anonymous user. We aim to clean up the mess this user has created.

Turkish Wikipedia (tr) bureaucrat

I am (tr:User:Dbl2010) currently an active sysop at Turkish Wikipedia. There are totaly 8 sysops and 1 bureaucrat. Unfortunately only 2 sysops are active. And last edit of our bureaucrat March 7. So we need new sysops to motivate users more and go further. Besides my thousends of edits, I translated most of the interface, created lots of help pages aranged community portal activities, advertised the site for more contributions. And I continue to do so. Hereby I request the admin rights for Wikisource. I am user of the Czech Wiki (also German one etc.) since May 2004, beeing there admin since November 2004. As we would like to develop the Czech section of Wikisource, we are sure we would need an user there with admin right. I proposed on the Village punp that I will apply fort he rights and there was a great support for this in very short time (see cs:Wikipedie:Pod lípou (oznámení)#Spravcovská práva na Wikisource – zájem). Probably there is a misunderstanding. There is no cs:wikisource, we are still working on wikisource.org, where I would like to get the sysop rights to carry on the cs: section. We shall probably apply for a subdomain later on. For this reason and because this page was out of work for several days I also put my request on here as somebody told me so. Request for Adminship in AR_Wiktionary

Hi. Czech Wiktionary is now almost abandoned. There is about one edit a day. The only Czech sysop has 11 contributions during last 9 months, the other non-Czech has no edit during last year. There are some pages to be deleted (vandalisms, redirects after moves etc), system messages to be translated. I'd like to improve Czech Wiktionary and sysop right would help me. I would recomend granting only sysopship to Zanatic. His work is of good quality. I am, however, concerned by his statement that he has finished negotiations with Zirland (the other candidate) concerning sysopship grant. I would recomend against making Zirland a sysop on cs:wikt:. He has only one editation (as of 2005-09-29 8:20 UTC), namely upload of Cnn.jpg file. This file was later marked for speedy deletion by applicant himself. Hi there, I'm CdaMVvWgS from German and Nauruan Wikipedia, where I'm mainly active and where I'm also a sysop. I'd like to request permission to be a sysop (or bureaucrat, if possible) on Nauruan Wiktionary (http://na.wiktionary.org/). There are 9 registered user, but no admin; just about 5 users ever did some contributions, and the last few months there was no activity. But since there are now at least 1 or 2 native Nauruans on Nauruan Wikipedia and we have few words to be "saved" somewhere outside of the Wikipedia, I'd like to implement them on Wiktionary build up now the basis for the Nauruan Wiktionary; other users like "Belgian man" or "S.V.E.T." then would also participate in the work. CheckUser on en:

I realise there has been a lot of discussion and very little concensus about this, but I'd like to request checkuser on the english wikipedia. We've currently got a vandal bot who can be handled, but depending on who you ask they're either open proxies or AOL cache shared IPs. In either case I'd like to know, as I run an open proxy blocker bot on en: so if there are unblocked open proxies I'd like to find them and their like, and if they're AOL webcaches the autoblocks should be removed as fast as possible as they do appear to be causing trouble for good editors. If I am given checkuser access on en: I'll only use it for checks on persistant major vandals (like the vandalbot and willy on wheels), to check whether open proxies are used and whether autoblocks should be removed (unless further checkuser policy emerges).

Removal of access

Self-de-adminship, or removal of bot flags from your bot can be requested here, and will be granted immediately. You may be asked to prove you are the same user on meta as on your local wiki first, by putting information on your talk page on your local wiki, that you're requesting de-adminship. To request the removal of sysop access from another user, please gain consensus on this on your own wiki first. All discussion must be kept on your local wiki. When it is finished and there is a community consensus to desysop a user, a trusted person from that wiki should just provide a link here to the discussion and a very brief explanation of what the results of that were.

I do not understand what your question is dadidi. You asked that Mijobe sysop flag be removed from de wikipedia. It is my understanding that german wikipedia renew sysop status, and it is quite frequent that previous sysops are removed this status after the vote does not show enough support. I consequently read your request as "Mijobe did not have enough support so should not be sysop anymore". I consequently removed the status just as you asked... what is exactly the problem ? If Mijobe or the community changed minds, one of your bureaucrat can do her sysop again. But here, I just carried out the task I was asked to carry. I am perplex :-( Anthere

I'd like to be able to use the accounts "Eskimo" on it: & en: wikipedias. Both are unused (no contribs, I sent email to owners of the 2 accounts, no answers). I currently have the user name "Eskimoo" on these wikipedias. Could you rename/delete the unused accounts and rename "Eskimoo" to "Eskimo" ?
