Well this project is not closed and has been in existence for over a year. If the project should be closed it should have been done a long time ago, and not now. It is not fair to leave a project open and have people give up their free time only to see the whole thing deleted. Unless there are objections to Flcelloguy being made a admin then I see no reason why access should not be granted.

Just as I mentionned to many above, when there is such a small community that noone vote on a request, I think we should only give sysop status. If no one can vote on the request, there is chance bureaucrats are not need until a while. Anthere 14:09, 11 January 2006 (UTC)

Oscar, it's not so important for now. Currently there are no vandals or lots of users who want sys-op status etc. I made this request as a procedure. Thanks for your replies(and also Anther's). Dear Lusheeta, I think this is a misunderstanding.
You should put the request on your japanese page, but in english language so that we can read it there.
We will go to the japanese Wikipedia, check what is written there (in english), and do what you request there.

It is still not 100% clear to me, but if it would be wrong, the owner of that site would have answered in english that it is wrong. Therefore done. Nearly. Pokrajac is sadly working against community consensus here. His intentions aren't bad, but he has shown himself to be unable to cooperate and to accept a clearly expressed consensus. Accusing innocent people of supporting vandalism is a tactic that should be avoided. Vandalism works against the whole community. Here, Јованвб (Jovanvb) is actually expressing the wish of the community, not going against it. Users who ordinarily hold a range of differing opinions on various issues have come to an agreement here, and Pokrajac is actually the only one opposed to it. Unfortunately, his position as a bureaucrat gives him the ability to ignore the consensus, but punishing people for simply expressing their opinions is, in my opinion, a very grave offence against the unwritten Wikipedia code. --Elephantus 19:51, 7 January 2006 (UTC)

Exactly! When I followed Pokrajac's reverting, I noticed that some of articles I wrote (from sr:) were being there. There is no reason whatsoever for the sole existence of the project if it mirrors work made by 3 other wikipedia wikipedians. Here is what happened: A vandal (User:Milica), blanked a bunch of articles, and got nominated for temp admin (we still don't have sysop granting procedure in place). A bunch of people expressed their support, although they had none or close to none contributions. Pokrajac probably blocked them just to stop possible sock puppets. Jovanvb unblocked himself, without discussion. --Dcabrilo

Where did you get these ideas? Clearly, you were biased against me from the start -- you called me a troll on your own talkpage! I'm not 100% sure, but I'm guessing that it's not exactly orthodox to remove or give permissions to a user with whom you have a history of less-than-friendly relations.
Now, as I explained to you, I did not block Pavel because of the ongoing dispute!!!! I blocked him for 3 days because he was moving dozens of pages in rapid succession and replacing their entire contents, without discussing it first! How do you know I don't speak the language? I may not speak it perfectly, but I certainly speak it better than you -- I'm pretty sure you don't know it. I ask for my sysop permission again. Now we currently have four sysops that Avichai gave them this status for the same purpose, translating the interface, but none of them were in the site for the past week, and some of them lost any interest in this project. We can't vote on the sysop's issue as there are only 1-2 people that edit the site nowadays, and nobody wants to be a bureaucrat. Last month, when we had more editors, we decided that the site will stay in a beta version until the end of the year. Meanwhile, there are a few cases of vandalism and we virtually can't do anything. We may manually revert, and hide all the not-news articles from the readers, or simply do nothing as there aren’t any readers at all, but it is not a good solution. None 08:16, 11 December 2005 (UTC)

I am perplex. On meta, only a request for temporary sysophood is requested. But Almorca is both sysop and bureaucrat. I looked in 2005 archives and could find no place where he requested sysophood and bureaucrat status and the votation page does not give me more information. I saw this yesterday, Almorca has made sysop duties at least since April 2004 (according to the site's log). So my guess is that he was only asking a change of logo, which is now changed. There was ongoing impersonating of the most active member (~10 accounts with almost identical names), and no admins online on IRC (and since nothing by this/these users was deleted/reverted, I assume no admin was online at all). I did a Checkuser on a few of them, but without any firm results. I blocked them all for three days (an eventual infinite block will be up to the local admins). They should be listed on CheckUser if status is restored. According to the ar voting page, they did not comply to the current policy to get access (http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/CheckUser_Policy#Access). Not enough voters.

So, I am removing them for now. I saw that a couple of them made some checks, but these were not numerous at all. I fully understand why they were made checkuser, but what is the point of having a policy if we do not follow it at all ? If it is not suitable, then proposition should be made to modify it.
