In particular, this page lists article-count milestones. Recommended ones are 100, 500, 1k, 2k, 5k increments to 20k, 10k increments to 100k, 25k increments to 250k, 50k increments to 500k, and 100k increments to 1000k. Try mixing things up with other milestones, such as active users or new articles per day.

  • The total number of user page edits, in all languages and for all Wikimedia projects, has exceeded 150 million.

  • The Venetian Wikipedia has reached 2,000 articles (and passed several other article-count milestones on the same day, shooting up from 150 articles to 3,500 in approximately 24 hours, thanks to a massive bot import of date and year entries).
  • The Arabic Wikipedia has reached 15,000 articles.
  • The Vietnamese Wiktionary has reached 25,000 pages total, with the addition of the English word stealthy by PiedBot. Laurent Bouvier's PiedBot has already imported tens of thousands of entries from a set of GPL/GFDL dictionaries by the Free Vietnamese Dictionary Project.

  • The Malay Wikipedia has reached 4,000 registered users.
  • The Hebrew Wikipedia has reached 20,000 registered users.
  • The Vietnamese Wiktionary reaches 3,000 entries with the addition of the English word blatancy by PiedBot, a robot that is currently adding definitions and translations from the Free Vietnamese Dictionary Project.
  • Five days after passing the 5,000 mark, the Neapolitan Wikipedia has reached 10,000 articles thanks to a massive bot-assisted import of articles.
