SUL is in migration

Don't understand why it's not finalized, at least for the 18 wikis on which my name is attached, if not not for the other ~14. Request SUL for "Stevertigo" and that all other sites be attached. Talking to Commons right now about getting that name there. -SV 18:27, 19 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hello SV, what do You mean? To be able to create a SUL account does not mean to be allowed to take over all local ones, if they have no edits it should be no problem, see the interwikilinks at SR/SUL for the local requestpages, if the wiki has no local, active bureaucrat You may request right there, best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 18:33, 19 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

No interwiki link to wiktionary.

I know that wiktionary has Bureaucrats (albeit only a few), but there is no interwiki link, and as far as I can tell, there is no place to request usurpation there. I approached one of the bureaucrats and he had no idea how I'm supposed to request usurpation either. Are we just supposed to spam all the bureaucrat's talk pages until we find a willing one, or what? Gigs 20:59, 22 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Please just see the "Index of pages where renaming can be requested", which is the last interwikilink in bold where everyone can list any wiki where there are local active bureaucrats and the corresponding requestpages, best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 21:09, 22 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
Thanks. Maybe that link should be moved to the top? Or listed in the instructions? Gigs 17:02, 23 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
That is a good idea, moving it to the top of the links now, best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 19:16, 23 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Project shortcut for wikiversity?

What's the project shortcut for Wikiversity? I want to usurp the name E.G. on it.wikiversity. E.G-q. 20:29, 12 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Wikiversity has the shortcut of "v" (no quotes). Your right, we should probably put a list somewhere. James (T|C) 20:33, 12 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

"Rehman" on SUL

Hello. My account was renamed (in December 2009) to Rehman. But soon after the rename, I was not able to login to three accounts (See here). I prefer to delete those accounts (as it has no edits and was auto-created), but I dont exactly know what to request where. Can anyone help? Thanks. Rehman(+) 10:00, 4 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hello, the accounts are not autocreated, they are simply not Your accounts and were there before You had been renamed. To request usurp see the links to the local requestpages here on the left at the interwikilinks or leave a local bureaucrat a message. Rename has to be requested locally, since all those wikis have local bureaucrats.

Catch with SUL

Just now, in a moment of boredom, I typed "password" as the password for the Special:MergeAccount interface, and it actually unified some accounts. So now I own some accounts (on mediawiki, + two languages I can't read) without having been renamed. Is that going to be an issue? Is it my fault that their password was "password"? {{Sonia|talk|simpleWP}} 09:13, 7 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Asked simultaneously on Help talk:Unified login but had been already answered there. Br. --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 15:45, 7 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
