Things to not ask me about:

Please Change my User Name

My user name is fogonthedowns, and I have too much personal info on my user page. Please change my user name from fogonthedowns to z347GJi thanks.

On which project? If you mean the English Wikipedia, you need to ask there whilst logged in to proove you really are that user. You can request this on w:Wikipedia:Changing username. Angela 14

Hi, I have a question regarding usage of Wikimedia Commons logo. When I uploaded a photo that includes it on commons it started a discussion about whether it violates Wikimedia copyright. Could you please take a look at it and give your opinion and/or permission to use the logo? If it is required I wouldn't mind transferring the image copyright to the Foundation. Thanks, che 15:46, 19 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Since it includes the commons logo, you do need permission to make this sort of deriviative image. You can't license an image under a creative commons license unless you have the rights for all of the elements of the image. Angela 20:28, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Name change

Hi Angela,

I have tried unsuccessfully to change my user name, Cgillon@gmail.com, to G62482. How do I do this?

Thanks Chris

Any bureaucrat can do that. If you want to change it on the English Wikipedia, use w:Wikipedia:Changing username, but make sure you log in before you make the request. Angela 20:28, 27 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Quenya again

Did you see the Klingon wiki? It's completely dead. What's the point of making another pointless wiki like this? If people so desperately want to write in these made up languages, they would do so on other sites, but they don't. Angela 11:08, 26 April 2006 (UTC)

They don't?! There's even Google in Quenya: [1] (although unofficial). There are many, many sites with Quenya poetry and texts, thousands of people around the world study this language and write in it! There are numerous forums and mailing lists and even many magazines written in Quenya, e. g. w:Parma Eldalamberon or w:Tyalië Tyelelliéva. --George D. Bozovic 11:32, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

De-adminship because of violation of "administration ethics"

How do you think, if an administrator violates so-called "administration ethics", but does not violate any Wikipedia rule, may administration privileges be dropped? --Jaroslavleff 16:02, 1 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This is up to the wiki concerned. If you mean en, this sort of thing is up to the arbitration committee. Angela 22:52, 3 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Delete user page

Dear Angela,

I am sorry for being here, but I have no one to complain about it in Wikipedia of Portuguese language. I want to delete my users pages there but administrators and bureaucrats do not want to do that. I got a tag to delete it and they blocked my page. It is not right. I want my userpagers to be deleted. Please, could you help me? Vr22 19:07, 3 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know what the policies are on that wiki for deleting user pages. Have you asked them if it can be blanked? Talk pages should usually be kept so people can track what has previously been discussed with a user. Angela 22:52, 3 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
They don´t want to delete anything, but there are no written rules against it. Thank you. Vr22 20:35, 4 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I was defamed there and I don´t want that my details get there (and in its historics) anymore. Do you know anyone that can help me, please? Vr22 22:38, 5 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

(sorry for my English) Hi, all pages from that user are blanked an protected by me. Portuguese Wikipedia don't have any rules related to deletion of main user page and this editor don't have contributed to talking about it, only demanded, demanded and demanded deletion. Current all usernames from that user has been renamed to another ones, later request made by himself to one of bureaucrats; the userpages aren't moved to the new username. The pages on question are <removed>, pt:Usuário:VRS and pt:Usuário:Vespa. 555 00:08, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

See my historic and my editions, please. Vr22 00:33, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Here I found out that others users pages were deleted, but bureaucrat refused to help me and difamed. This sysop blocked me without any reason. Vr22 01:05, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If you've left the project, does it matter whether your user page is kept or not? You weren't using a real name, so there's no privacy issue. Angela 11:11, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Angela. I hope it's okay to respond to your email here. The user wanted to speedy delete his user page; we don't have rule that permit doing it and personally, I think we should stay like that. The user asked me to rename the three acounts mentioned above and I did so. Sorry for my english. Regards. Juntas 10:54, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Angela. I think the only way for it is Right to vanish. If you want I can send you further information about mine and about what happened by e-mail. Thank you very much. Vr22 11:42, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Angela, please, to prevent impersonation, I ask also to block permanently those accounts. Thank you. Vr22 11:22, 10 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
This is up to the admins on that wiki to do if they think it's necessary. Angela 03:40, 18 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I do not edit in that wiki anymore. Bureaucrats (pt) won´t help me. I prefer not to request anything more there. They do not respect rules. Vr22 18:48, 18 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Have you discussed this with anyone on the Farsi Wikipedia? Is there much demand for it? Is it a significantly different language from the one at w:fa:? There is information on how to start a new language at Help:How to start a new Wikipedia and a new wiki at incubator.wikimedia.org where you can add content in languages not launched yet. Angela 11:14, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

hi again i can't found any info about this in persian wiki , and persian wiki users don't want farsi salis wiki , but we want that , farsi salis is only for orginal iranian peopel but more peopel speak farsi (persian) , Persian Wikipedia (farsi) is for all farsi user (iranian , persian , afghanian , pakistanian , ozbak & ...) and we (farsi salis spoken) our wiki , and we don't have enough information , may i have your help in this case? --Sh-gh 13:10, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This seems more like a joke to me. The written Persian is called Farsi salis as opposed to colloquial Persian, which is NOT used in articles in Persian wikipedia, much like English or any other language. If somebody reads Persian texts exactly the way they are writen it is called FArsi Salis, for example the news is in farsi salis.

An English analogy would be something like this: "I am going to go there!" If I read it loudly as "I am gonna go there" then it is NOT salis If I read it loudly as "I am going to go there" then it is salis.

Tehranian accent or any other accent manifests itself in colloquial and spoken language. Persian written standard has been the same for past thousand years and is the same among all accents in all parts of the world. There isn't even any orthographic disagreement!

Thanks for the explanation. Angela

Incubator

I just discovered the "Incubator" wiki. When did this happen? It looks like the edit histories are being moved from Meta along with the content, so it's not clear when the wiki actually opened. - dcljr 06:03, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oops, I forgot the main reason I was posting on your page here: Do you think it would be helpful/acceptable to edit Talk:Main Page over there to link sigs to the correct user pages at Meta? If so, I can do this. - dcljr 06:06, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Content was imported from meta, which makes it look like it's been there longer than it really has. It was actually created on June 1st. See the discussion on foundation-l for more details. I do think it would be useful to modify the sigs to point somewhere more useful. Angela 11:16, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Done. - dcljr 06:05, 7 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Email

Hi Angela. I accidentally deleted your email, so I'm answering right here. The user in question (pt:<removed>) is playing all of us like fools. He has ignored all suggestions, all procedures, besides creating dozens of usernames god-knows-why-or-what-for. He also failed to point a link between the real name or a real fact of his life. By practice, we @pt don't delete userpages (in fact, talk pages are *not* deleted by any circumstances, AFAIK). Also, there was *no* humiliation elsewhere, as he failed to point out, and keeps mentioning it. In fact, I'm tired of this guy. Mail me again, if you want to discuss this further, I'm kinda busy these days to come to WP. Best wishes Angela, all the best. Nuno Tavares 23:06, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

BTW, The link he provided claiming that other people's pages were deleted is misleading: those were *not* users at the time, but ghost pages. I'm even almost sure that it was me who discovered them (BD query) and deleted them. Nuno Tavares 23:08, 6 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It is not true. He is defameing me again. Vr22 22:13, 7 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I did not creat those usernames. Vr22 22:18, 7 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Message in Portuguese: Eu não criei aquelas páginas de usuários e fui difamado aqui novamente. O burocrata Nuno Tavares está fazendo inúmeras acusações sem prova alguma. Angela I sent you my name, address and I can send you my telephone number too. I am telling the truth. Vr22 23:00, 7 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Note: There are no written rules against delete user page, talk page and personal informations in Wikipedia of Portuguese language. Vr22 22:32, 13 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Angela. If it is possible, I request the right to vanish. Thank you very much. Vr22 22:09, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Making sockpuppet accounts and then asking them to be deleted isn't going to help the situation. I've emailed the bureaucrats on that wiki so they are aware of your views, but it's up to them to decide how to apply the policies of their wiki to this situation. If you are adding information about yourself, it's hardly a violation of privacy you chose to write that content. Angela 03:40, 18 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Who write information about me here was a sysop and a bureaucrat. I have not told my name here. I am not adding information about myself in any place. I do not want to delete any sockpuppet, but information about myself. Thank you. Vr22 11:49, 18 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
There are no policies against delete personal informations there, but they refused to help me.Vr22 11:51, 18 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Note I wrote informations about myself only by e-mail. Vr22 12:20, 18 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
That is a bureaucrat abuse. Anyone have to do anything. Vr22 18:56, 18 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Using Checkuser Privileges for "Dragnet" purposes

This seems to be happening now at Wikinews[2].

  • About 4 of the requested user names were found to be in a different country; the other 10 or so were anons in Toronto. The person with Checkuser privilege, CSpurrier, reported information to the community about an alltogether different user "Factchecker" (for which there was no request at all for the use of checkuser) which he came upon during his check of the anons. There seems to be little if any actual vandalism involved and the checkuser requester, Amgine, has had an ongoing feud with the supposed sockpuppeteer,Neutralizer, who he recently blocked for 3 weeks. Can this apparently blatant abuse of the checkuser privilege be stopped? 70.50.76.209 23:43, 11 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Upon further research it seems that the "infraction" committed by the majority of the anons who were subjected to Checkuser was this edit which they placed on Amgine's talk page in an attempt to disclose what they felt was an unbecoming edit by an Admin which had been erased from Wikinews' history;

What Amgine said about Australians [3] "Simeon edits from Australia, a continent populated entirely by criminals! And, as a criminal he would expect that we would not trust him, so obviously we cannot drink from the glass in front of us.."- Amgine/talk 03:54, 11 May 2005 (UTC). 70.50.76.209 00:05, 12 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't have anything to do with checkuser. Anthere is proposing a sort of ombudsman position for this which might help to deal with this sort of issue. See the recent discussion on foundation-l about it. Angela 03:40, 18 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Pithy name change request

Greetings, Angela - hate to bother you over a small matter, but can you change my username to User:BD2412? I've had this done on the other wikiprojects where I have accounts for privacy reasons - a particular banned user seems to have added me to his mailing list, and after Gator1's resignation over similar issues, I'm skittish to keep putting myself out so far. Cheers! (intentionally left unsigned for the aforementioned reasons)

Considering you have 9 edits here under your old name, wouldn't it be better to just start using the new name instead of renaming the old account. If you rename the old one, the two will be linked in the rename log, whereas that won't be the case if you just start over with the new name. Angela 23:49, 12 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Point taken - please delete my old user page and talk page here, then. Cheers! BD2412 04:06, 14 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Ok. I've deleted those. Angela

new, dumb user

i don't know how to talk to angela -- where to click on to make a new question page. sorry i am posting here. there is problem with a page.

There's a + sign at the top of the talk page that you can use to post a new section. Angela

1. when we make one sentence change, it reverts immediately back. we cannot even change a single word, from "eight" to "ten";

Are you citing a source for that change? Perhaps the person reverting it believes it to be false or vandalism? Angela

2. then, we go back and change it again, and in 1 minute it reverts back;

Please discuss it on the talk page of whatever article you're talking about. Don't just keep reverting. There is a policy against that. Angela

3. we talked to admin month ago who said it was NOT VANDALISM and we could change a sentence or a word. then, when you go back to change a sentence or word -- it is automatically changed back or the other writers change --

No changes are automatically changed back. Angela

4. however, then we are blocked and the other users keep on changing out posts -- they are never blocked.

Yes, you will be blocked if you keep reverting. You need to discuss the edits and find out why they are being reverted. Angela

5. i called wikipedia in 310 and told them that the people changing this this wikipedia change -- and the administrator banning anyone who changes even a single word -wikipedia is for everyone to change a single word -- these people are gun carrying criminals from ohio who are using wikipedia to link to a myspace and internet fan CD selling site to solicit fans for money. the person at wikipedia in 310 area code stopped the links --

I don't know what "wikipedia in 310" means. Angela

6. can you STOP THE ADMINS from stopping ANYONE from changing a word. if you change a word, they change it back in 1 min. if you go back and change a word again, they change it back in 1 min. and warn you. that is not what wikipedia is about. PLUS, these people are soliciting people for money and using wikipedia to link -- which is why the 310 WIKIPEDIA REP REMOVED THE LINKS. can you pls STOP ESKOG WHO IS BLOCKINGE EVERYONE WHO EVEN CHANGES ONE WORD, and the ohter person: hoopydink. they are allowing these criminals -- with web sites featuring guns -- to STOP OTHER WIKIPEDIANS from changing one word.

THE WIKIPEDIA PAGE IS: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bizzy_Bone

search for: Bizzy Bone.

thank you.

I don't know which edits you're talking about. If you mean adding silly comments rather than encyclopedic content, like [4], then that will be reverted. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not some playground where you can write whatever you like. Perhaps the tutorial at w:Wikipedia:Tutorial would help? Angela 03:40, 18 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

User Group Rights Change for Persian wiki/ Page creation restricted to signed up Users

Hi Angela: Persian wikipedia has had a big problem of copyright violation by anonymous users (IP's) for a long time. This is partly due the fact that Iran has not signed international copyright agreement and the contributors (being mostly from Iran) are not much "copyright aware". Currently there are 3.5 active sysops and a big chunk of their time is spent deleting/tagging copyright vios (a big part being New pages) by IP's.

Of course once people decide to stay longer and create accounts it is easier to track them and tell them about Copyright vios.

There is consensus amongst the sysops (3 of them, that .5 part I am not sure!) that Page creation has to be restricted to registered users. I am sure that many active users agree as well (as they have mentioned this here and there). I can provide you with an official poll result if you want.

As I understand we need someone with stewardship status to do the job. Persian wiki has only Bureaucrats. Can you please tell us what we should do? Behaafarid 07:00, 19 June 2006 (UTC) (My talk page on Persian wiki: fa:user talk:Behaafarid)[reply]

This isn't something stewards can do. You need a developer, but they might not be willing to do it without some sort of approval, and I'm not convinced 3 admins saying it is enough. Perhaps you should ask someone on the Board, like Anthere, about it. Angela 12:23, 19 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. Behaafarid 02:08, 20 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

trust on Wikipedia

Hi I got your contact from meta's embassy. :) This is Cathy from Hong Kong working on a research about trust on Wikipedia. I wonder if you would kindly contact me at researchingmedia@gmail.com? I'd like to chat with you about Wikipedia of your language. Would you kindly drop me your email or IM (Skype, MSN, AIM or ICQ)? It wouldn't take more than ten minutes, but it would help enormous for us to understand the overall trust-based social landscape of Wikipedia. Thank you!

censorship in es.wikipedia

Hi, I was banned in the http://es.wikipedia.org.

According to it is indicated in http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Banned_user “banning users is quite rare”

The reason is: Wikipedia: Dont' disrupt Wikipedia to illustrate a point.

My editions do not consist of vandalism nor of provocation (Troll) The conflict does not arise by the edition of articles but in votings. In my opinion this is censorship and is a situation generalized in http://es.wikipedia.org

I rather do not consider me a Controversial contributor, but a censured publisher. I agree that “...this community exclusion phenomena is contrary to the community inclusive policy.”

I have had problems for the deletion of my personal information and they deny the name change to me.

I have tried to initiate the recommended practices to solve the conflict and only I have obtained insults and due to the banned, not even I can accede to my talk page nor to the IRC. In this situation not that I can do, if it can indicate it to me very I will be been thankful him.

Are there any users you trust on that wiki who you could ask for help? It would be easier to find a Spanish speaker thta for me to try and work out what's going on. Angela 05:10, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your attention and sorry for my bad nor polite English (Google translator assistance). The 06/22 I have initiated one AMA Request for Assistance [5] asking for the some Spanish reader. I ignore if there is some form to do it in Meta. There are some publishers in en.wikipedia.org who have been expelled or they have been exilied of es.wikipedia.org [6] Would wish to know if there is some directive of the foundation on the resolution of conflicts to which the local projects must adapt. Due to my experience in the IRC, I do not trust any of the bureaucrats of es.wikipedia.org nor the possibility of solving this conflict in this local project. This is because there is a majority current that labels as “soft” the reasonable librarians. The main problem is based in the deprivation of rights in the votings and the application of the policies. In es.wikipedia.org the strategy of the provocation is used to be able to sanction the novices and to the veterans simply it expels them with object not as much to avoid the vandalism but to prevail to them of the vote right. The publishers are censured by their ideas, not by their editions. In this situation I believe that some type of consensus exists, but is not the consensus of an open community. File:Yin yang.png Manuel Joseph (discusión Email) 06:30, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
There isn't any directive from the Foundation about this. It's up to local projects to develop their own ways of dealing with conflicts. Angela 02:51, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, in this case I resign. I do not have desire to bother and I already have enough work with my life and my projects. File:Yin yang.png Manuel Joseph (discusión Email) 05:32, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

a question!

Hi angela. The Administrator Essjay deleted one audio that I uploaded in Commons, but the reason is not correct.

09:46 18 jun 2006 Essjay borrado "Image:Es-GobernadorVirasoro-Article.ogg" (Category:Images with unknown source as of unknown date 2006)

I put the audio on the GFDL and all was correct.

This person is erasing images at will.

On his discussion page he wrote: I suggest you run for admin and fix the problem yourself; you'll find that trying to notify 100,000 people of the pending deletion of 12,000 images is a job nobody can do. If you're worried about images being deleted, send your people to look through the categories and fix problems. I'm sick of being yelled at for doing my job. Essjay (Talk • Connect) 02:10, 21 June 2006 (UTC)

If he is nervous or stressed, he could take a holidays, but no deleting images that are correct. I used my valuable time to create that audio and this person nor if it wants to tell me that the image was erased.

Erase that audio was a violation to the GFDL license. Please, ask him to recover my audio.

Thanks for taking your time to read my message.

Greetings,

Loco085 07:33, 24 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know the reasons it was deleted. Perhaps it was not tagged correctly? If you are sure it is GFDL and it was mistakenly deleted, you could re-upload it. Angela 05:10, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

He recover the image, thank you for your help, Loco085 17:35, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipeople, etc

Is there a project for non-notable people? I was reading some old messages, but they are, well, old! Whatever happened? I think Wiki(people who fail notability) is a great idea. I'd be interested in doing what I can to help that out. WikiTree is well, just awful. Wjhonson 14:36, 17 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There's Wikitree and Wikiasite:Genealogy for genealogical type information, but I don't think a wiki for non-notable people is a good idea. If they're non-notable, there are no reliable sources for the information about them. If there are no sources, how will you know whether the information is true or whether it's libellous? There used to be another one called biojack but the domain has now gone, so I guess it wasn't successful. Angela 06:10, 18 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hey I'm already hitting that wall on people *I* think are notable but are only represented in a few, rather obscure sources :) People say "I've never heard of x x! They don't get any google hits!"
Anyway, as far as verifiable, there could be a rule that a person has to cite the sources to like say, the US Census online, or marriage databases online, or other things posted by third parties :) There's already a lot of stuff like that. Or I could just wait until the owners of WikiTree win the lottery and upgrade their servers! Thanks for the response :)Wjhonson 05:32, 19 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What must admin do with disputed photo?

There is a photo on Russian Wikipedia: ru:Изображение:CableCarPassengersGelendzhik05Jul2006.jpg.

It was made by "Olimp" company that serves cable-way represented on the photo.

ru:User:Mithgol_the_Webmaster says that "Olimp" company delegated exclusive rights on this photo and confirm that by Quicktime video, where company representative verbally says that he in the name of company delegate exclusive right to ru:User:Mithgol_the_Webmaster.

But accordingly to Russian copyright laws such delegation must be drawn as written contract, so license status of this photo is unclear. I consider we (I mean, Wikipedia) actually have no rights to publish that photo. By the way, Russian copyright laws does not provide so called "fair-use" of copyrighted media.

I sayed that if in 7 days the documents about rights delegation will not be shown, then I will delete that photo because of its copyrighted status. Then bureaucrat ru:User:Drbug arised and sayed that he will not allow deletion of that photo.

So, I need to know stewards' (your) opinion about this case.

What do you think about this? --Jaroslavleff 09:31, 19 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Angela, I don't know exact intentions of Mr. Jaroslavleff, and why he wishes to compromise me, but I feel it necessary to defend my honor and cite my own words: "Если хочешь - выноси на суд общественности. Самовольно удалять крайне не рекомендую." (in Russian); translation: "If you wish, you would introduce it to the community for judgement. I strogly do not recommend you to delete it on your own sole discretion." It is my advice, and it does not matter at all whether I'm bureaucrat or not. As for the image, I have already started a discussion at Commons wiki Village Pump] (the situation is not as easy as stated by Mr. Jaroslavleff, he is not a lawyer, and so I suppose the discussion will long some time and may lead to some significant changes in Ru Wiki policies), and I'm planning to start it later in Ru Wiki. Also I would like to mention, that the discussed image is not mine. Thank you for understanding. Dr Bug (Vladimir V. Medeyko) 10:41, 19 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Also, note that the "screen shot" below features a signature by yahoo.com. We know now that the signature is forged. So, either some super-spy cracked yahoo.com, of User:Node_ue forged the message himself. Shouldn't this guy be banned? Dpotop 19:50, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

And do you have proof that you did not forge the e-mail from customer care? I provided full headers for the e-mail you sent me for verification to people on Wikipedia-l. None of them accused me of forgery. So either I am a techno-genius, or you really did send me that e-mail. I'm guessing the latter. --Node ue 03:39, 29 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
So what are you saying is that the person working for Yahoo is lying and you're not? Boahhh....you're cought again with lies, and you deserve to be banned for good for your offensive act of forgery. --Fratele lui Bonaparte, il cunosti? 06:07, 29 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You should take it up with an Administrator, as I saw Jmabel described such forgery as an extremely grave offensive against Wikipedia standards. Node's foul tactics should certainly not go unpunished. - Anclation

I agree with Node ue's blocking. He should pay for his offensive act of forgery. --Fratele lui Bonaparte, il cunosti? 16:58, 28 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Are Yahoo's people lying and Node ue not???

Kid Mark Williamson, I've told you many times that you lost your credibility long time ago. Now, with your last offensive act like impersonating persons you reached an end of it. Me and others will make all the possible to make you pay for it, you'll get banned for this I'm pretty sure. Your last warning passed long time ago. --Fratele lui Bonaparte, il cunosti? 06:07, 29 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Angela, where are you? how much time you'll tolerate such a offensive bahaviour of node ue? You should ban him. --Fratele lui Bonaparte, il cunosti? 16:35, 30 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Don't forget Angela about our request. We will come again until it will be solved. --Fratele lui Bonaparte, il cunosti? 15:27, 1 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Interview with MIT project?

Dear Angela, I saw your name on the Wikimania confereence attendees. I'm wondering if you'd be interested in doing a video interview with us about your work. We're making a short educational documentary about Wikipedia for Project New Media Literacies, a MacArthur-funded research initiative at MIT's Comparative Media Studies program. The vieo is meant for jr high and high school kids, and it's meant to demystify media production (we've already done some other videos in our series about comicbooks, graffiti, radio documentary, and blogging). We'll be coming to Wikimania, but we'd really like to pre-schedule some interviews so we don't get lost in the excitement of the goings-on. Please have a look at my post on the Media section http://wikimania2006.wikimedia.org/wiki/Media. Please let me know if you're interested (vanbertozzi(at)gmail.com). Hope to hear from you soon!...Vanessa
