Poets, priests and politicians
Have words to thank for their positions
Words that scream for your submission
And no-one's jamming their transmission
And when their eloquence escapes you
Their logic ties you up and rapes you.

My name is Erik Möller. I'm a member of the Board of Trustees of the Wikimedia Foundation. You can find more information about my historical involvement with Wikimedia in my "wiki CV". Beyond Wikimedia, I work as a software developer and project manager on wiki-related projects, most notably WiktionaryZ. A long time ago, I started infoAnarchy (originally a weblog, now a wiki), co-founded Der Humanist and helped to build a scientific archive on the Origins of Peace and Violence.

Current Board to-do:

  • Process information, responses to RfC
  • Make personal timetable
  • Discuss strategy with all Board members
  • Inventorize Wikimedia information and communication channels
  • Collect some agenda points for Board retreat in October
  • Prepare early Oct. meeting at Frankfurter Buchmesse

A long time ago, I wrote the following declaration of bias for my work on Wikipedia. It may also be useful in other contexts.

Declaration of bias:

  • I am opposed to irrationalism, be it in the form of organized religion, miracle healers or postmodernism.
  • I am strongly opposed to all types of "intellectual property".
  • I am in favor of personal liberties (speech, abortion, sex, drugs etc.).
  • I am in favor of democracy and capitalism.
  • I am in favor of a working social system.
  • I am not a pacifist.
