::One week has passed and here are the results: 25 users are in favor of desysoping, 7 are against and 3 are abstained/neutral. The Serbian page is here. If we count the neutral, there is 71.43% in favor of desysoping. Otherwise, the outcome amounts to 78.125%. Since Serbian Wikipedia has no policy regarding desysoping, we are obliged to take the general voting policy into consideration. Since the policy states that a voting is valid if there is at least 70% in favor, I pronounce this voting valid. I have to add that many other wikipedias require much smaller percentages for things like this. Anyway, I hereby ask that both administrator and bureaucrat rights be taken away from Bormalagurski. The current policy also states that (since the outcome was between 70% and 80%) the voting should be repeated in the next few months. The voting will be repeated in a way that Bormalagurski will yet again go through a procedure of becoming a sysop. This page hosts requests for admin, bureaucrat, or CheckUser access to a Wikimedia wiki which does not have a local procedure. If your wiki has a bureaucrat, please use the requests for adminship page on that wiki instead. When you request here a change of user rights do this after local community approval is given and include the link to it. So first ask it at your home-wiki, then here on Meta.

For urgent access (to combat ongoing large-scale vandalism), you may ask on the #wikimedia-stewards IRC channel instead. For bot requests, see Requests for bot status. For spam whitelist/blacklist requests, see Talk:Spam blacklist.

Stewards: all requests presented here should be archived when fulfilled.

Boilerplate Request for Permissions

The text below is a template for requesting specific permissions on a wiki. Please copy it and complete the three required points, plus other salient information.

Project name
I request sysop access on ps.wikipedia:

*Language Code: ps
*Local Request Link: ps:Project:wikipedia
*Local User Page: ps:User:waliachakzai

Thank you. ~~~~

Notes:

 1. Be sure to complete the information as requested. Without it, a steward cannot process the request.
 2. Please add the request here after the community approval.
 3. Be aware that local request page (RfA) may not be the same with the administrators page.

Current Requests

Please place your request at the end of the appropriate section below, and state in the heading which project you are referring to. All requests for permissions are subject to approval by the local community, and any unauthorised permissions will be revoked upon complaint.

Please remember to inform your community of your request. A steward will notify you when the request is processed.

Beware of sockpuppetters and imposters, always ask for a confirmation edit on the destination wiki.

Oversight rights for English Wikipedia

Note to Stewards: When you give someone Oversight, please list them on Hiding revisions. Thanks.

Note to those requesting Oversight: Do not request Oversight rights here; this is where the Arbitration Committee makes usergroup membership requests once they have agreed to give someone Oversight access. Thanks.

The en arbitration committee has decided to give en:user:Redux oversight permissions. Raul654 18:02, 22 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's now been over two days... is anyone planning on acting on this? Raul654 22:30, 24 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

CheckUser rights

To ask for a steward to answer one of your request, see Request for CheckUser information.

Note to Stewards: when someone ask a CheckUser status, please check the current policy of attribution of status before giving this status. When you give someone CheckUser, please list them on CheckUser. Thanks.

According to policy, there is no TEMPORARY status of checkuser. Either there are already checkuser on a project and these people must be asked to do the checkuser. Or there is nobody and a steward must do it. Giving a temporary status to anyone just simply asking it to a steward, with no agreement from the local community is against the checkuser status rules. Giving it with no request mentioned anywhere is even more problematic. Breaching these rules should imply removing the status of the steward if he can not be trusted to follow commonly accepted rules. If any one has a problem with this rule and wish that from now on, checkuser status be given to anyone without any community discussion, he must have the current rules changed, not breach them. Thanks Anthere 03:24, 23 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Note: When giving someone checkuser, please (a) ask them to subscribe to checkuser-l and (b) email checkuser-l-owner@wikipedia.org so that the listadmins know the person is allowed on the mailing list. (The list may contain confidential information.) - David Gerard 15:22, 31 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Any request made in a different paragraph than this one should not be considered.

There seems not be a lot of live in that wiki. But better ask it first there. Write on some public page that you would like to become sysop and of anybody has a problem with that. Wait 2 weeks and then ask it here again and include the link to that page where you asked it. --Walter 11:34, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I request bureaucrat access on sco.wikipedia for sco:User:Mendor:

Removal of access

Self-de-adminship can be requested here, and will be granted immediately. You may be asked to prove you are the same user on meta as on your local wiki first, by putting information on your talk page on your local wiki, that you're requesting de-adminship.

To request the removal of sysop access from another user, please gain consensus on this on your own wiki first. All discussion must be kept on your local wiki. When it is finished and there is a community consensus to desysop a user, a trusted person from that wiki should just provide a link here to the discussion and a very brief explanation of what the results of that were.

Please do not open discussions here about rights.

Petr_Tomasovsky@eowiki

I am as a sysop on Eo-Wiki and would like to forward a request for desysoping of Petr_Tomasovsky (http://eo.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vikipediisto:Petr_Tomasovsky). The story: He repeatedly violated the rules of Wikpedia, both explicitly stated on the respective (translated) pages of our Wikipedia and those of common sense, the full description of his violations for last 2 months was prepared (via mailing list of sysops, in Esperanto) but not posted in the Wiki, taking into account his paramount contribution to the Esperanto-Wiki (the majority of the "Articles of the Week" were drafted by him). Briefly, in last 3 weeks there were violations of WP:NPA, WP:POINT, WP:CIVIL, WP:OWN, m:DICK (the exact description can be posted here and translated into English if needed). Instead, we (4 currently active sysops and 1 active user) wrote him a polite message (subscribed by 4 sysops, 1 beuarocrat and 1 active user), asking him to be more catious and friendly. The message can be found here: http://eo.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vikipediista_diskuto:Petr_Tomasovsky#Pri_via_uzado_de_administraj_rajtoj His reaction was unadequate, he started to blame on other sysops in Eo-Wiki with the assertions "Why don't you blame on them? You hate me that's why you blame on me". Finally he blocked himself for some time and after this blockade expired he added a request on the discussion page of the beaurocrat, where he asked for removal of his sysop status (here is the diff link: http://eo.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Vikipediista_diskuto%3AArnoLagrange&diff=677459&oldid=676825 ) He wrote the following:

Maladministrado. Estimata sinjoro Lagrange, bonvolu senigi min de administraj rajtoj. Mi ne plu bezonos ilin. Adiaŭ Vikipedio kaj Esperanto. Petro 23. Jul 2006 19:27 (UTC)

Translation:

Removal of administrator status. Dear Mr Lagrange, please deprive me with administrator rights. I do not need them anymore. Farewell Wikipedia and Esperanto".

Should we vote for his desysoping or it is fine if we just proceed his request? What should we do? If you want to contact me, please, leave a message on my personal page in Esperanto-Wiki, http://eo.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vikipediista_diskuto:Ala%C5%ADdo Alaudo 18:56, 24 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Homeontherange@enwiki

I am leaving Wikipedia, please remove my sysop access. Homeontherange20:51, 23 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

(Note: I'm not a steward) Stewards generally ask that a user confirm on thier home wiki by editing thier talk page with an "Yes, I did request to be desysopped" message and placing a diff here. Just a heads up to speed the process. Essjay (TalkConnect) 10:39, 24 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I have confirmed on the English wikipedia that I am leaving, I've deleted my user page and stewards will be able to see that the deletion note is to the effect that I have left wikipedia. I cannot post anything now since I no longer have access to the account (changed the password and threw it away) but since I did make a statement with that delete note saying I was leaving that should be sufficient to desysop. Homeontherange12:37, 24 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There is some disagreement whether Homeontherange has left permanently or is just on wikibreak until early September. There are a few editors who really want to "get" him so it might be best to wait two months and if he doesn't return then remove sysop access just in case this is a hoax.

Yes, it is me, just check the deletion note on my user page.Homeontherange04:13, 25 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
That has no value. It is placed by an anon. Put a singed comment on that talk page that you wish to be de-sysoped or stop wasting our time. --Walter 12:14, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You need to prove you're that user. You're not even signed in on meta, and I'm assuming you do have an account here considering this: Meta:Requests for adminship#User:Homeontherange. Angela 13:21, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I too am leaving Wikipedia, and would like my sysop access removed, thanks. RadioKirk

Current temporary permissions for emergency or technical purposes

Please add here new requests. The approved requests can be found at /Approved temporary ordered by the period granted. Please do not archive temporary granted until the permissions are removed. Stewards, when granting, please mention the date of removal.

If you are requesting sysop-status to make a translation of the wiki see then also at the BetaWiki-project. That is a project for making a neutral MediaWiki translation that then will be default for all wikis. That is more usefull then making only a local translation. Support #wikipedia-BiDi or mediawiki-i18n-l
