"Mindspillage" is the usual online handle of Kat Walsh, a Wikimedian from Herndon, Virginia (just outside Washington, DC, currently a member of the Wikimedia Board of Trustees. I'm currently attending George Mason University School of Law, focusing on technology and IP law, after earning a B.A. in music in 2005. I worked for Wikia, Inc. as Community Support from February to August 2006.
If there's anything I can help you with, feel free to contact me. My user page on the English Wikipedia, which I consider my "home project", has more information on my involvement in that project (as well as a bit more silliness and trivia!). If you're looking for something Wikipedia-specific, please check there.

Kept in mind: philosophical links
enjoy yourself / be a catalyst / reduce temperature / don't stuff beans up your nose / defend against passion / fighting is boring / control yourself / prefer the soft response / sometimes you have to resort to St. Benedict's Rule / critics are your best friends / fix broken windows / moderating conversations in virtual space
"To enjoy freedom, [...] we have of course to control ourselves."
-- Virginia Woolf

Brainchildren: contributions
I am largely responsible for both Polls are evil and How to win an argument here,as well as the parody "If I Were An Admin". You decide how serious each one is. Most of my work here on meta deals with maintaining the OTRS pages as well as some of the Communications committee-related sections. For local involvement, you can view my user contributions on Wikipedia, Wikinews, and Commons.
Spill containment: licensing
I agree to multi-license all my contributions as described below:

I agree to multi-license my text contributions, unless otherwise stated, under the GFDL and the Creative Commons Attribution Share-Alike license version 1.0 and version 2.0. Please be aware that other contributors might not do the same, so if you want to use my contributions under the Creative Commons terms, please check the CC dual-license and Multi-licensing guides. |
