Wikimedia Travel Guide: Naming poll open

Hi there,

You are receiving this message because you voiced your opinion at the Request for Comment on the Wikimedia Travel Guide.

The proposed naming poll opened a few days ago and you can vote for as many of the proposed names as you wish, if you are eligible. Please see Travel Guide/Naming Process for full details on voting eligibility and how the final name will be selected. Voting will last for 14 days, and will terminate on 16 October at 06:59:59 UTC.

Hi. This is a reply to your IRC memo. As you might be aware, the consensus at wikidata was that all admins elected before 1 January 2013 will go under mandatory reconfirmation after three months from their election. As such, administrators appointed after 1 January 2013 (and those who pass the reconfirmation) will probably be permanent unless the Wikidata community says otherwise. And now that the project has a rule about what are the requirements to pass an RfA (min. 8 support votes and 75% of approval; which is sightly higher than the one we've been using) things have become easier and clearer for everybody. That is independent on the project having local bureaucrats or not. Stewards have granted permanent adminship on projects without bureaucrats in the past. With the current and future activity of Wikidata and the level of support required to pass an RfA there I can't any problems to Wikidata having permanent admins after that initial period. Personal opinion of course. Thanks. -- MarcoAurelio (talk) 18:40, 12 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hi. In the future, if you're reloading Special:Contributions, you might want to add ?bot=1 to the URL so that the reverts are hidden from the RecentChanges (for mass-reverts). PiRSquared17 (talk) 01:55, 6 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
