yep, there're a lot of work and a lot of garbage to clean all the time... little inattention, sometimes, would be forgivable ;)--Nick1915 - all you want 11:12, 12 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

tagged for deletion

Sorry, but since it has been put on RfD, the meta community will decide if it is to be deleted or kept..--Cometstyles 12:48, 12 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Since I'm the only one who edited the page, you are totally irrelevant. Now, go away, Cometstyles. Or should I post the IRC log where you and Phoenix-wiki threatened to frame me for policy violations, hmmm? I passed it along to Kim.

Please stop trolling and stop stalking me. Zenwhat 12:49, 12 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

However as has been pointed out to you there is a VfD tag on it. Please let the community decide. Thanks --Herby talk thyme 12:54, 12 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
Please cease this or I will block you, thanks --Herby talk thyme 12:55, 12 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

However, I'm the only one who edited the page. Zenwhat 12:56, 12 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

They are now tagged. You do not have "ownership" - this is a wiki, thanks --Herby talk thyme 12:57, 12 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
All deleted, there'll be no need for throwing blocks around. No need to waste time discussing personal essays the user requested to be deleted, thanks Majorly (talk) 12:58, 12 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Not true, Majorly. If you block me and keep my essays up against my will, it's a very good way of screwing with my head, no?

Right now, Cometstyles is chuckling about this. Zenwhat 13:00, 12 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

I honestly don't know what you're talking about, but if there's anything else you need, please ask. Thanks Majorly (talk) 13:02, 12 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Majorly, I don't hold any ill will towards you, because I don't know you and your actions seem pretty reasonable and fair.

I'm simply pointing out: Editing Wikipedia is like a popularity contest. If you're hated by the community -- which is a mob of anti-intellectual inclusionists -- then they will do things like this.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with an essay called "Assume nothing," being on Wikimedia, but I know that if I had let that RfD discussion continue, the article would've been deleted because there's a big chunk of the inner community that despises me.

I came here because I thought Meta was a more comfortable forum to express my thoughts. I figured there wouldn't be any kind of mobs here and so on, that I could just find a quiet little corner where I could write essays, to help people figure out the systemic problems on Wikipedia.

And what happens? Somebody comes along and nominates every essay I uploaded here for deletion! Without notifying me!

And they insulted me by calling my essays "rambling" and "irrelevant."

I kmew that the RfD would be successful, so I figured: Well, if it's going to be deleted, I may as well let it be deleted in style. By nominating it for speedy delete myself, they look silly.

But then, they won't even allow me to delete. Cometstyles, a man who voted to have it deleted himself, reverts my speedy delete tags!

On Wikipedia IRC a while back, him and Phoenix-wiki made the remark that they could have me gone on Wikipedia by framing me for policy violations, or whatnot. As a result, I can't help but get the feeling that this was some attempt at screwing with me.

I'd like to have the essays stay up, but of course, apparently I can't do that. There's apparently nowhere on wikimedia that I won't have guys like Cometstyles stalking me like this.

Lastly, I know what this all might sound like: A troll, banned from wikipedia, ranting about "corrupt admins," and whatever. You see it a lot from POV-pushers that couldn't get their way or people who are just essentially rabid, with no people skills.

That isn't me. I'm capable of posting on forums all across the net with no problem. I have problems on Wikipedia because there is this really sick and twisted community, which is like a swarm of wasps. Zenwhat 13:21, 12 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

RfD

I have tagged Legitimate criticism for deletion. You may wish to comment. Thanks --Herby talk thyme 15:53, 13 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Your edit is reverted

Do not modify the source wrongly. It is intended to work well when put on the wmf website.--Aphaia 15:31, 14 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

It will work even if it's on the foundation's website too. You can use redundant transwiki parameters without there being a problem. Zenwhat 15:32, 14 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

transcom work

Hello Zenwhat, please do not disturb the work of transcom members with redundant discussions or corrections, they are experienced users and working on translations for years without problems. Please note that we are all voluntary working here and time is precious. Please note that this is a warning, thanks for Your understanding, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 15:39, 14 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Transcom doesn't own the page because this is a wiki, which means "anyone can edit anything."

The link was broken, so I fixed it. Why is this a problem? Zenwhat 15:40, 14 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

The problem is that You are disrupting their work with redundant edits and redundant discussions, the link stays at it is, the sites are here for translations only, this is all I have to say, You were warned, if You continue there will be no further warning, thanks, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 15:42, 14 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

I made one edit and it was to fix a broken link. Sheesh. Zenwhat 15:50, 14 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

requests for deletion

Hi Zenwhat, I saw Your comment in the rfd and would like to suggest kindly to stick around a bit and geting to know Meta better before posting rfds, imho this would reduce the tensions. You will see that Meta is a nice place to be and the people here are good. It troubles me to see such harsh comments as on this page.
Please also let me say few thoughts about the word troll, which is often said too easily imho, a troll, Icelandic tröll, is a creature living in mountains and caves, causing earthquakes, vulcanic eruptions etc. (which is dangerous) but not because it is an evil creature or does something malicious intentionally, but because it is somehow clumsy. So that might just be something happening to someone new to a project, he means to do good but it turnes out not to be so good after all. Best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 15:38, 16 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thank you. It is doubtful anything I do will change anything, though. Jimbo himself accused me of trolling. That's going to be a black mark on my record forever.

By the way, do you know of anything specific I can help with? I asked in Babel and didn't get too much of an answer. I've been looking over Special:Random, doing copy-editing, etc.. Zenwhat 20:03, 16 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

I would not have known that if You had not told me right now ;)
@things to do here: Imho You can't force that, it depends on Your knowledge, I saw You asked what You could do and someone suggested to translate, if You are not good in a second language then this is probably not a good idea. Meta is just for coordinating, so I personally for example am not home here but dwell somewhere else and only edit when I see someone I can do. So as I said I would suggest to, at the beginning, be reading more then editing, only topics You are interested in and/or You know much about or You want to learn more about, and not enforce anything, I myself did not edit much here in the beginning either.
Best regards, --birdy geimfyglið (:> )=| 21:05, 16 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

You would have found out, because those that despise me wave it around like a flag.

"He's a troll! Look at him! He's a troll!"

You saw that in the RfD discussions. Pretty much everything I do on Wikipedia, from this point on, is going to be subject to that kind of badgering.

I am not a beginner. I've edited Wikipedia for years, but this is a new account. I forgot the usernames and passwords to my last accounts, and so I made a new one. This is, I think, the thousandth time I've had to explain I'm not a newbie and even if I were a newbie, telling me in so many words "Lurk moar" is condescending. And no, I am not a sockpuppet either, because I've revealed my personal information to the Wikipedia community, even though I didn't want to. I was forced to, though, because people kept speculating about sockpuppetry.

Also, why do you capitalize You and Your? Zenwhat 11:17, 17 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hm, I don't normally judge people from what other people might say.
Editing in Wikipedia is a good thing to do, what I meant with 'new' is that You seem new here (different project, different customs, different scopes :) )
Capitalizing the You is just because I personally regard it as unjust to do so with 'I' but not with 'You' (somehow egocentric imho :o) ) (Also in the good old times we capitalized personal pronouns directed to the addressee)
(p.s. It's not necessary to copy the messages I write to my talk also because I see when someone answers anyway :) )

Precisionism

I was looking for something like Qualityism when I found Precisionism, thanks. I built Wikipedia:Category:Precisionist Wikipedians as a follow through by borrowing from the work in place at Wikipedia:Category:Inclusionist_Wikipedians Jeepday 14:15, 26 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
