Wikimedia Community User Group Uganda/Wiki For Boxing 2024 in Uganda

Wiki For Boxing is a project under Wiki Soccer which has been introduced in Uganda this year to mainly document content related to boxing activities in order to bridge gap of information from boxing since early 1960s considering the fact that it was first sport after independence leaving players and main actors having no Wikipedia presence.

Planned Activities

The project shall involve documenting and uploading of media content got from the Uganda Boxing Federation archives.
The project shall document;

• The past and present information of boxing.
  
• The past and current boxing ring set up/structure.
  
• The leadership of the federation since inception
  
• The players of the federation since inceptions.
  
• The clubs within the federation.
