Wikimedia Promotions in University of Calabar

Wikimedia Promotions in University of Calabar is a project aimed at contributing to Wikipedia and its sisters' project in the University Community by encouraging and engaging the students and lecturers to participate and to also create the University of Calabar Wikimedia Community.

Action Points

• Create awareness on Social media.
• Teach participants how to access and create a Wikipedia and Wikidata account.
• Introduction to Wikipedia and Wikidata.
• Introduction to Wikipedia and Wikidata project tools.
• Introduction to Wikicommons
• Practical hands-on and edithathon on how to edit the English Wikipedia articles.
• Practical hands-on and edithathon on how to edit Wikidata items.
• Practical hands-on and edithathon on how to upload images to Wikicommons.
• Discussions about the specific challenges of editing Wikipedia, Wikidata, and Commons.

Enroll on the Outreach Dashboard to track your contributions.
