Requests for locking global accounts

Here's a place where you can request accounts with offensive names or vandal-only contributions to be banned and hidden from the global user list.

Requests for usurpation or deleting global accounts — please watch this page, requests are handled quickly

Here you can request your account deletion and usurpation on wikis without active bureaucrats, or request the deletion of a global account if you need to be renamed or to usurp an account elsewhere. Please add new requests at the bottom!
If you want to request the renaming of multiple accounts on wikis without local crats please use the format:

Hello, can you delete my global account? My account doesn't seem to be active in Wikimedia only in the Dutch Wikipedia.

Please explain, I see it is active in 5 othe projects, in http://sl.wikipedia.org is one, You have not attached (maybe from another person) But it should be no problem to ask for rename for that one because it has no contributions [1], please contact a local crat on sl.wiki if You want that. My account is BoJo in http://nl.wikipedia.org: the others are not mine. My account in the english wikipedia is DrJos because at the time BoJo was occupied. Ok. Done for ar.wikiquote and ar.wikisource. Not yet done for the other two since the user Mohamed there has a valid email address set. I notified both via that email. User:Beam

Hello, I'm User:Beamathan (universal account), and my nickname is Beam. This being so I created this account user:Beam to preempt anyone messing with me and because I sign with Beam so that if a user tried to goto the user page or talk page of "Beam" they wouldn't be misdirected.

Anyway, I tried to universify User:Beam, and it seems that the prior User:Beam got banned at the Italian wikipedia in October, 2007. Unfortunately I do not speak Italian and can not get unbanned through it.wikipedia.com.

Please help me, so that I can universify user:Beam.

PhotoBoothe

Help! I clicked Unify Accounts from both WikimediaCommons AND En.wikipedia and in both cases was left with a result showing that wiki as the only wiki "unified." As if each site was unified with itself, but not the other...?!? Both accounts use the same ID, PhotoBoothe, the same valid e-mail, and to the best of my knowledge use the same password. En.Wikipedia should definitely be my home wiki. I see the shorthand SUL used, but with no upfront explanation, is that short for Single User Login...? — The preceding unsigned comment was added by PhotoBoothe (talk)

According to CentralAuth, en.wikipedia is your home wiki, meta, commons, and fr.wikipedia are merged automatically. Something I note, though, is that there is a user "Photoboothe" which has Commons as its only wiki. I assume this is the problem.
The solution would be to place a request on Commons as PhotoBoothe, requesting the "PhotoBoothe" account there be renamed to something else (PhotoBoothe_old perhaps?) and your "Photoboothe" account renamed to "PhotoBoothe". Return here and tell us it's done, then we can delete both global accounts to allow the bureaucrats at Commons to perform the renames, then you simply log in as PhotoBoothe everywhere, from then on.
I'd like to make sure, however, that you understand that once you request the accounts be deleted, it's rather important that you log out of your account: If you visit the rename page again while logged in, it will simply recreate that account on Commons and cause problems with the rename. Once they note that the renames have been done, you can log back in to your newly-renamed account and merge your accounts under SUL. Also, please make sure that you have a valid, confirmed email listed in special:preferences in order to ensure you can retrieve your password if needed. Kylu 01:56, 5 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You can't rename Photoboothe to PhotoBoothe on commons because Photoboothe is a global account...

Gotcha. I don't care about renaming Photoboothe, just as happy to delete it and do eveything with PhotoBoothe as the global log-in. Was PhotoBoothe changed to PhotoBoothe (usurped) globally, or just on Commons? Just let me know when it is OK to re-merge the PhotoBoothe ID across the board. Hello, we can't delete accounts, we can just delete the merging of accounts (SUL). If You need some account renamed to Your global name then You would need SUL-deletion first. Grandmaster

I would like to merge all my accounts, but I found out that there are accounts in other wikis with the same name, that cannot be merged, as they were created by other people. However, those accounts have very few contribs or no contribs at all. Thus, according to this, [9] the accounts Grandmaster on de.wikipedia.org, tr.wikipedia.org and en.wikibooks.org have 0 contribs, the account Grandmaster on fi.wikipedia.org has 1 edit, and the account Grandmaster on nl.wikipedia.org has 11 edits. Hi, You will have to request the renames of the not attached accounts on each wiki lockally, as there are local crats. de.wiki, fi.wiki, others see the interwikilinks or contact a local crat by typing "special:listusers/bureaucrat" in the searchfield. Deletion of Piotrus account on nl wiki requested to finish my unification

  • w:nl:Piotrus – contribs – log – CentralAuth – usurp account was created on 3 dec 2006 and as far as I can tell, made no edits. It prevents the unification of my Piotrus accounts on various other wikis. I would like to request its deletion. I cannot contact the nl wiki bureaucrats as I don't know their language.
