WP:NOT a soapbox. Willking1979 (talk) 18:30, 19 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment - Any member of any religious group could post a similar page for the purpose of explaining why their religion is "better" than everyone else's. As such, it is hopelessly drenched in POV, and has no possibility of ever becoming an article. The picture looks nice, though. It would be sufficient to have that picture on the user's main page captioned with "I am a devout Mormon". Spare us the sermons. If we wanted to hear a sermon, we could find one. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 19:44, 19 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep, tag as essay Ultimately, once you cut through the religious crap, it's an essay about Wikipedia. Essays about Wikipedia are explicitly allowed. WP:SOAP doesn't apply to essays about Wikipedia in userspace. The religious tinge here doesn't really violate any other policy or guideline that I can think of. In my opinion, calling Wikipedia paradise of skepticism is kind of a compliment, anyway. Gigs (talk) 01:37, 20 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
