In the "Chinese checkers" article (en) you added a link to the article Kinaskak (da), but this article does not exist. I killed your link because it is a dead link. If you plan to write an article in the dansk version, please add the link in the english version after you wrote it, in order to avoid dead links.

Anyway, I discovered this trying to view the dansk version: in the page http://da.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kinaskak I clicked on "søge efter Kinaskak" (http://da.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speciel:Search/Kinaskak) and i saw that skak means chess... but chinese checkers and chinese chess are '''not''' the same game: maybe you added the link to the wrong article in the english version. Please control it.

Can I give you an advice? when you edit a page and want to see how it is, use the <show preview> button instead of the <save page button>, in order to avoid an uneusefully long history of the article (if you don't know that articles have an history, the link to it is on the top of the page: it's a very useful tool). Also, when you decide to save, if you made very few changes, there's the <this is a minor edit> square just on the <save page> button: it makes an '''m''' to appear in the history, and helps to find just the important changes. I advise you because I saw lots of changes in your article, which look like just attempts to make the category-sintax work ;-)

Hey,

Thanks for the advice. I know about the article history, but not about the "Minor Edit" button, thanks alot.
I will try to cut down on my updates :-)

:I've been know to have some [[HTML]] skillz ^.^ I'll definitely get back to with the above mentioned things and the status bar later tonight. I can only answer small questions during the day ([[North American Eastern Time Zone|EST]]) and then i'm able to provide larger, in depth responses at night. i knew i found exactly what you needed ;) <br>i take care of my adoptees, no worries. let me know if you need anything else man, [[User:Matthew Yeager|Matthew Yeager]] 19:01, 2 May 2007 (UTC)

::meh, sorry you have to be bothered with that guy... long story, ends with him being wrong so he isnt too happy. anyways, status time. the status changing is very cool and involves some javascript (a computer language). It makes it so there are 3 buttons for me to click (in, busy, out) and it automatically changes my status for me!
First the javascript that does that:<br>

// STATUS CHANGER
addOnloadHook(function (){
var subpage = "/Status";
var scheme = "/StatusTemplate";
var subpagelink = wgServer + "/w/index.php?title=User:" + encodeURIComponent(wgUserName + subpage);
var logout = document.getElementById( 'pt-logout' );
//Add the links
addPortletLink("p-personal", subpagelink + "&action=edit&newstatus=in", "In", "pt-status-in", "I'm in!", "", logout);
addPortletLink("p-personal", subpagelink + "&action=edit&newstatus=busy", "Busy", "pt-status-busy", "I'm busy!", "", logout);
addPortletLink("p-personal", subpagelink + "&action=edit&newstatus=out", "Out", "pt-status-out", "I'm out!", "", logout);
if (location.href.indexOf("&action=edit&newstatus=") == -1) return; //Are we here to auto-edit the status?
//Get new status
var statusRegExp = /&action=edit&newstatus=(.*)/;
var status = statusRegExp.exec(location.href)[1];
//Modify the form
document.getElementById('wpTextbox1').value = "{{User:"+wgUserName+scheme+"|"+status+"}}";
document.getElementById('wpSummary').value = "Status: "+status;
document.getElementById('wpMinoredit').checked = 'checked';
//Submit it!
document.getElementById('editform').submit();
});

<br>
you can copy that exactly and place it in your [[User:Bobber0001/monobook.js]] page (yea i knwo you prolly didnt even know its there! but it is! and its cool so save that. as you go around and meet other people you can see all the cool things javascript can do. there is also a script that gives you a button to click for vandalism... it reverts the vandalism and opens up the offenders page automaticially so you can warn them! its really neat but we can look at that once we master this.

so as well as that page you need to make two other pages.
1 = [[User:Bobber0001/StatusTemplate]] there you need to put:<br><br>
<nowiki><span style="color:green; padding:5px">''My current WikiStatus:''</span> '''{{ #switch: {{{1|out}}}
| in=<span style="color:green;">online</span>
| busy=<span style="color:orange;">around</span>
| out=<span style="color:red;">offline</span>
}}'''</nowiki>

save that, now you have to press alt + ctrl + click refresh and then the three buttons should show up next to the log out button on the top right of the screen. click one of those and it will create the page [[user:Bobber0001/Status]] for you, fill it in and everything will be cool.

all you have to do is put '''<nowiki>{{User:Bobber0001/Status}}</nowiki>''' on any page you want it displayed! let me know if you have any problems with it. [[User:Matthew Yeager|Matthew Yeager]] 14:01, 3 May 2007 (UTC)

== try now ==

i see it on your page!!! it should be working fine now!!!

you forgot the <nowiki>{{</nowiki> and <nowiki>}}</nowiki> on teh status page :P<br>
now you are very cool with your in and out buttons 8)
::now its working, there was spacing in the code on the last line of the STATUSTEMPLATE page. all should be well now ? [[User:Matthew Yeager|Matthew Yeager]] 18:57, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
::try it now ? [[User:Matthew Yeager|Matthew Yeager]] 18:59, 3 May 2007 (UTC)

var subpagelink = wgServer + "/w/index.php?title=User:" + encodeURIComponent(wgUserName + subpage);

awesome topics of interest, alot of ours overlap. but one thing was scary...

Dimensions - Aren't they just awesome? And I'm not talking about three spacial and one time. I'm talking about numerous! It really annoys me though, that my ridiculous human brain is not able to comprehend how a four-dimensional world would be like.

you know we are currently living in 4 dimensions... right ? do you know what the 4th is ? lol, go check it out. [[User:Matthew Yeager|Matthew Yeager]] 00:20, 4 May 2007 (UTC)

Hi Bobber0001!

My name is Henrik, and i primarily use the danish wikipedia.
I've noticed, that you have translated an article about Apartheid into danish. Is it possible for you to format the article to fit wikipedias standard? I've tried a bit, but it seems hard when you haven't translated it yourself. Maybe you have a picture or two also?

If you want to, you could make the article look very nice, and maybe nominate it for Featured Article of the Week? The possibilities are endless..

Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux's marble sculpture 'Ugolino and his Sons', Metropolitan Museum of Art
La Danse (The Dance), Opera Garnier in Paris

Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux (May 11, 1827, ValenciennesOctober 12, 1875, Courbevoie) was a French sculptor and painter. His early studies were under François Rude. His group La Danse (the Dance, 1869), situated on the right side of the façade, was criticised as an offence to common decency.

He never managed to finish his last work, the famous Fountain of the Four Parts of the Earth, on the Place Camille Jullian. He did finish the terrestrial globe, supported by the four figures of Asia, Europe, America and Africa, and it was Emmanuel Frémiet who completed the work by adding the eight leaping horses, the tortoises and the dolphins of the basin.

Sculptures by Carpeaux

Neapolitan Fisherboy

Carpeaux submitted a plaster version of Pêcheur napolitain à la coquille, the Neapolitan Fisherboy, to the French Academy while a student in Rome. He carved the marble version several years later, showing it in the Salon exhibition of 1863. It was purchased for Napoleon III's empress, Eugènie. The statue of the young smiling boy was very popular, and Carpeaux created a number of reproductions and variations in marble and bronze. There is a copy, for instance, in the Samuel H.
