SunPower Corporation designs and manufactures high-efficiency silicon solar cells and solar panels based on an all-back-contact cell design.[1]
SunPower will invest over $4.4 billion in its Philippines plant in the next two years to boost production capacity. The SunPower plant in the Philippines would be increased from 110 MW to 400 MW worth of solar cells during 2007, and that workforce will also increase from 1,400 to 3,400 by 2008.[2]
PowerLight, a subsidiary of SunPower, is a leading global provider of large-scale solar power systems, with over 150 million kWh generated by its customers.[3]
