Lucy Fabery, (Luz Ercilia Fabery Zenón), born January 25, 1931 in Humacao, Puerto Rico, is one of the legendary singers from Puerto Rico. Recognized for her dark-skinned beauty, since her early years, Fabery is also well known as: La Muñeca de Chocolate, (The Chocolate Doll), a distinctive assertion.

In 1946, at a very early age, she made her proffesional debut at the Normandie Hotel, in San Juan, and later, at the Morocco Cabaret, where she performed for four consecutive years. Due to her success in Puerto Rico, she moved to Cuba, where she performed as a regular, for a long time at the famous cuban television musical show: Espectacular de la Noche, broadcasted by CMQ-TV. Later, Fabery made special appearances in other famous cuban television musical shows, such as: Jueves de Partagás, & El Casino de la Alegría, among others.

Lucy Fabery, has been always acknowledged for her unique singing style and her glamourous wardrobe; furthermore, she was considered a sex symbol at those times. Fabery, was on tour for various years, around distant lands of Europe, and the Latin American hemisphere, such as: "Spain", "Argentina", "Colombia", "Mexico", Uruguay & "Venezuela", among other countries. During the late 60's, she left Cuba, and moved to Mexico, for ten years. She was signed by the RCA-Victor, recording label.

Lucy Fabery, then returned to her hometown, Puerto Rico, and made a long parenthesis in her singing career, only making special appearances in various soap-operas, and dramatic mini-series, as a personality actress, but her succesful come-back to the music business in 2006, has inspired many performers of her era. The famous trumpeter & musical director: Humberto Ramirez, joined whith Javier Santiago, director of Fundación Nacional de la Cultura Popular, and they made an offer to Fabery, she couldn't resist. A new recording with original and cover songs, mostly from contemporary Puerto Rican composers, accompanied by a Big Band Orquestra. It's been a reborn in her singing career, due to the big success of the album. Presently, Fabery's been touring the island performing live concerts with the Humberto Ramirez jazz Big Band.
