Account creator

User:ZI Jony

I'm an organizer of Wikipedia:Feminism and Folklore, and Wikipedia:Asia Month. Recently, we learned about a tool developed by the Wikimedia Foundation that is currently in the testing stage called the Event Invitations tool. Ilana Fried (Product Manager, Campaigns) provided list of 200 users, and recommended to use massenmail and massmailer which is required sysop or account-creator rights on the wiki. So, I'd like to request account creator user rights to access those tools. Warm Regards, ZI Jony (Talk) 18:21, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Not done This right is pretty much only given out to users active in the account creation process. If the script you want to use requires the noratelimit right, I'd suggest that either running it on a bot account might be more suitable. Given this seems to be much more linked to events, the eventcoordinator group may also be an option, and certainly feels more appropriate than accountcreator. stwalkerster (talk) 18:34, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Stwalkerster:, thanks for your valuable advice. I believe that the "event coordinator" user rights is not required at the moment, as I didn't run any outreach events now! Warm Regards, ZI Jony (Talk) 08:01, 13 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
