owner of the book has published it 2003 and distributed free by the persian magazin of Gostresh Sanaat.september2003. there is no copy right for the book.[1] the map had also republished in 3 iranian atlas in 2008- 2006.

• Delete - The copyright is questionable. Whilst the actual map is almost certainly copyright-free, this is actually an image of a book which may be copyrighted. User:Maahmaah claims to be the author and that there are no copyright issues, and this may indeed be true, but there is no real evidence of that. However, to my mind, the main issue is image quality. As an image of a map, it is poor - there is a big bend in the middle where the book's spine is, and as a map it is largely unusable. As an image of a book, it is unnecessary. The book itself is not notable. I can see no need for this image on Commons. It strikes me as though Maahmaah is using this as marketing and pro-Persian POV pushing. • keep: it is a map we need it in Persian page of the Persian gulf .you are free not use it in other language there is no copy right in Iran for such a things. . copy right in Iran is different from US and Europa . the book have been published and distributed free. in 2003 . this map have been published also in my own weblog and also [3] and also [4]i am a specialist in geographical name and we need the maps for several subject in the Persian articles in wiki.

I assume that last post was from User:Maahmaah. If you wrote the book, then you must have access to the map that was used on its cover. If you could get a decent image of this source map, then that would be fine. But what we have here is a poor image of a folded map on a book cover - it isn't much use in its current state. Here the user has confessed to his lie about the author of the book. he said the author of the book is my friend and due the copyright policy i lied that i am the author. I realy give up .i am the AUTHOR OF THAT BOOK I AM PUBLISHER OF THAT BOOK . Maahmaah, the problem here isn't really the copyright status, but the image quality. The image of the source map that you linked above is fine. I assume it is so old that there are no copyright problems. Please upload that image to Commons instead, and I'm sure no-one will nominate it for deletion. Bazonka (talk) 20:35, 26 February 2012 (UTC)
