Fixed by Rocket. Nothing really to be done about the filter imho, it's a pretty rare situation--DieBuche (talk) 00:59, 8 August 2010 (UTC)

The problem is you're adding {{flickrreview|File Upload Bot (Magnus Manske)|August 11, 2010}} but you're not File Upload Bot (Magnus Manske). I added it for you since the bot did in fact review it previously. I won't change the filter as this shouldn't happen that often. Rocket000 (talk) 12:27, 17 August 2010 (UTC)
I see. That makes sense. Thanks for your help. --Skeezix1000 (talk) 13:04, 17 August 2010 (UTC)
No problem. Upon further review, we may change this filter, there's a couple other situations like yours. Rocket000 (talk) 14:16, 17 August 2010 (UTC)
Btw, I changed it, edits are now allowed after warnings. They are still logged so any abuse can quickly be rollbacked--DieBuche (talk) 08:50, 18 August 2010 (UTC)

The page you would have left behind is useless and thus, the system prevents an empty gallery. Please instead of removing the one image from a gallery and leaving <gallery> in tact, remove that as well and place {{speedydelete|Empty gallery}} on the page so that an administrator will delete it. The filter will not warn for empty gallery if a speedy-nomination is put in it's place. –Krinkletalk 00:31, 20 December 2010 (UTC)

  • Edit kind: to categorize the image " Martine Valcourt Coulombe " so it could be posted on the NBPC Partie Conservateur du Nouveau Brunswick dans la page de Martine Coulombe
  • Reason abuse filter: not too sure if the category was filled properly
  • Comments: please help in posting the picture of Martine Valcourt Coulombe MLA in it's place 69.171.163.49 13:23, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
Your categorizing action was good. However, as you can see here, you also played around with the Image-insert buttons. You can re-do your edit by simply adding the category as you intended without the addition of the [[File:Example stuff. –Krinkletalk 00:33, 20 December 2010 (UTC)

Don't remove the information table from File-pages. Removing that doesn't delete the image, it only means extra work. Please use the "Nominate file for deletion" button in the left sidebar.

In cases like this where you want to remove all the images from a page because they don't belong there, please add a {{Speedy}} request so it can be deleted. The edit filter is to prevent empty galleries. Rocket000 (talk) 17:20, 23 October 2010 (UTC)

The abuse filter was triggered because the page contained sample code like '''Bold text''' which should never occur on a real page. Also, Commons is not the place for articles. Please go to Wikipedia to read, edit and create articles. Commons is a free media repository, not an encyclopedia. –Krinkletalk 00:38, 20 December 2010 (UTC)

The warning was triggered here. This was a valid warning since you inserted several 'sample' snippets that should never be on a real page. To undo something you typed or inserted use your browser/system options: press CTRL-Z or under your "Edit" menu on top choose something like "Undo".
May I ask what you attempted to achieve with this edit ? Perhaps I can help. –Krinkletalk 14:44, 16 January 2011 (UTC)

"May I thank all those who take an interest in what, I repeat, are, for myself at least, complicated matters for so far (26 February 2011) having left intact the 'Description' edit by myself (which relates to the correct title in accordance with a public document in the form of Council minutes)? For better or for worse these matters are now being even more fully discussed (in the sense of discussion in relation to further evidential documents of one sort and another, including a postcard) on http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-432718-war-memorial-in-redheugh-gardens-hartlep/comments; all of these historical matters will be, or at least should be, eventually brought into some sort of concordence here on the Internet, surely? We shall see.

Whoever happens to be the person responsible for this particular rather misleading title in terms of public documents and which is therefore the ultimate responsibility of the relevant local authoritty (which goes together with other misleading titles relating to architecture described as 'listed' under the legislation, with the resulting consequences so far as British history, and in fact European history relating to the First World War, is concerned) will hopefully now, after several months from the time when this issue was first raised, carry out the evidently necessary correction." (End of quote)

  • Comments: This unfortunately is a matter which relates directly to the freedom of speech and related admittedly rather complicated issues of law with particular reference to the 'listed buildings' in England, as orginally laid out and intended, the immediate 'building' in question being that dealt with in the site mentioned in the above attempt to edit, but involving numerous others, in particular the one originally entitled in a public document (Council minutes recording a gift accepted in 'the public interest' under the legislation, that is not for statutorty purpose) the 'West Hartlepool War Memorial', and now at least for the time being currently dealt with under that title in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/West_Hartlepool_War_Memorial. This and related matters are also being dealt with now in other sites by myself, and may ultimate result in published material which will expose errors elsewhere, including your own.

I suggest your own title should be corrected as soon as possible, if only in order to make it in accordance with the original title from which you yourselves have derived it, and which makes clear that the only connection with the Heugh Battery is that it happens to be near it. The refusal of your site to accept this suggestion is not understood at all I am afraid, ladies and gentlemen. Can you perhaps contact me with your explanation if there is one at all (peter.judge@laposte.net)? If you do not, and if a further attempt to make a comment on the Discussion page is refused in one week's time and the title remains the same, I shall have to arrive at the conclusion that you are not interested in any further contacts whatsoever. (This is taking up a lot of my time but I am obliged to admit that the ultimate responsibility is, believe it or not, clearly that of the government itself, in particular local authorites.)

In conclusion I thank you anyway for the option to make this response on this longrunning and complicated matter which relates to both domestic law and treaty obligations (1985 Granada Convention). The technical competence which is evidently your own on this and other websites solves many problems and makes available unprecedented possibilities ... it seems that it does not however deal with the concept of truth and law in any traditionally recognizable way. I just spent ages trying to figure out by experiments why my comment to a deletion discussion was rejected. Turns out the abuse filter doesn't like the German company name A.S.S. (Altenburg-Stralsunder Spielkartenfabriken) when spelled without the dots! This is fucking ridiculous. Surely nobody must be protected against seeing the word ass in capital letters? Hans Adler (talk) 08:41, 27 May 2011 (UTC)

PS: In English, "ASS" is also an abbreviation for w:argininosuccinate synthase, a human gene. In German there is a large number of alternative meanings, see w:de:Ass, and there are also a few in French, see the corresponding French disambiguation page to which I cannot link because of the stupid abuse filter.
Also: Is anyone watching this page at all? If this is not the place where problems with the abuse filter can be reported and will be acted on, where is it? Hans Adler (talk) 10:08, 2 June 2011 (UTC)
Thank you for pointing this out, Hans Adler. This is the correct place and I have just adapted the filter in question to permit "ASS". This rule was originally taken from en-wp and we should adapt it at Commons to a more international environment. --AFBorchert (talk) 08:16, 3 June 2011 (UTC)

Report by Dogpoundzman

  • Report by: Dogpoundzman (talkcontribsblock logfilter log)
  • Page name: John Quinlan (wrestler) (histlogsabuse log)
  • Edit kind: I was in the process of removing the category: John Quinlan (wrestler) from some, not all, of the photos in this commons gallery. I want to removed just this category, not the image itself which will stay in commons. The gallery of this subject has far too many images and just keeping a few of the professional ones in there will enhance it as well as keeping it updated and neat. I would like to go ahead and remove the categort on some of them for a more professional, clean looking updated gallery for the subject.
  • Comments: I look forward to hearing back from you soon as doing this would free up space for future professional and updated images for the subject. Thank you Dogpoundzman (talk) 19:09, 3 June 2011 (UTC)

This is an artistic creation by artist William Willers, who hired Skulls Unlimited to make his design according to his specifications. Skulls Unlimited and "Sklmsta" are taking credit for work that is not theirs and claiming it is copyright free.
