::What is the purpose of notices placed in Watchlist-details? Why use it in preference to normal notice locations (ie what is the criteria for placing notices here?). Remove the current CSD notice. The current proposal is a mess, and doesn't have localization either of the content or of the notice (which, as Tony Wills notes above, is usually elsewhere). Removal of the notice will permit a closure of the vote, and a reorganisation of the proposal, and perhaps some translation (once the proposal is nailed down). It can then be re-advertised later. Fundraising note

{{Editprotected}} Would people have a problem if we posted a short notice on watchlists looking for help with the fundraising campaign this year? Most specifically a comment directing them to the Messages page for comments and new proposals. Help shape the 2010 Wikimedia Fundraiser! Propose new messages and comment on existing options on Meta. If you are looking for feedback, try VP instead.  Docu  at 03:57, 6 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
What exactly are you asking for? Do you want preliminary feedback? Or do you want an admin to place the text to the message right now? FYI: I am not sure how much useful it is, Commons is largely multilingual project, many users here use different interface language and would not be able to see a message placed here. --Mormegil (talk) 09:06, 10 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Well, so is Meta. They got translations (and having a notice here would help bring more translators to them). I don't have a problem with adding a little watchlist message. Rocket000 (talk) 10:29, 10 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Not done It seems obsolete right now, if you want an edit to be done, no problem, but be specific, please. --Mormegil (talk) 19:41, 14 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Localisation

There isn't any attempt to localise these messages, is there? Rd232 (talk) 12:25, 12 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Well if there were, it would be done by copying the watchlist message to MediaWiki:Watchlist-details/de, MediaWiki:Watchlist-details/en-gb etc. Alternatively, a more efficient way to do it would be to create {{Watchlist-details}}, add that into every language version, and then localise the template in the usual way. I think. Rd232 (talk) 22:09, 12 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
