Shortcut: COM:AN

This is a place where users can communicate with administrators, or administrators with one another. You can report vandalism, problematic users, or anything else that needs an administrator's intervention. Do not report child pornography or other potentially illegal content here; e-mail legal-reports@wikimedia.org instead. If reporting threatened harm to self or others also email emergency@wikimedia.org.

Report users for clear cases of vandalism. Block requests for any other reason should be reported to the blocks and protections noticeboard.


Report disputes with users that require administrator assistance. Further steps are listed at resolve disputes.


Reports that do not suit the vandalism noticeboard may be reported here. Requests for page protection/unprotection could also be requested here.


Other reports that require administrator assistance which do not fit in any of the previous three noticeboards may be reported here. Requests for history merging or splitting should be filed at COM:HMS.

redlinked categories

User:Hornstrandir1 has mass-created red linked categories that are irrelevant and not needed. Do admins have a tool for mass-reversal? Schwede66 23:32, 15 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Schwede66 They should have it as it is built into their tools. I will also add that this user has a history of doing this from looking at their discussion board. Request for documents in Brahmi script wherever available.

Nagiri/Devanagiri script is much younger than Brahmi script. I would appreciate it if you could publish the older manuscripts if available in Bhramhi script as original. Blacklist this Flickr account Erdonzello

Dear Admins,

Can someone please place this Erdonzello flickr account: https://www.flickr.com/people/193751847@N03/ on a blacklist. It is just full of FLICKRwashing images (from its first to almost the last page) WHICH ARE FREELY LICENSED and I have had to launch two Deletion Requests on it.

✓ Done - I've addressed those DRs and added 193751847@N03 to COM:QFI. Please note, however, that this list does not work the way you appear to think it does ("Right now, anyone can pass images from this flickr account if they wanted to...which is crazy"). All this list does is prevent Flickrreviewbot from automatically reviewing images; the bot instead tags the image for manual review. That "anyone can pass images from this flickr account" will always be true (where "anyone" means license reviewer or admin) regardless of whether a Flickr account is on the list or not. Tag creation request

In the past, I have requested creation of specific tags for each OpenRefine minor version: openrefine-3.7, openrefine-3.8 and so on. It's probably not so useful to have such a granularity so I would request the creation of the (hopefully last) tag: openrefine, which would be used by all future OpenRefine versions (>= 3.9). Massive backlog in User talk:CommonsDelinker/commands/Category moves

The semi-automatic category move function on CommonsDelinker had been really congested by pending requests since 2023, and even without reviewing the whopping number of mass category move requests (currently 19), the number of standalone requests are also high.
